This story is utter bullocks. It would take at least £4-5m to even think about it and Ipswich don't have that type of money

Blimey, what have you been smoking?? We'd snatch their hand off for anything over a million.

A couple of Tractor fans on twitter getting a bit giddy about the prospect of him signing for them. Balls to it.

Seems a legit website to be honest. They're on the ball with a few things.

I reckon it would push Lennie to walk away if that happened!

Andy Wilkinson at Stoke has been given a sixth-month contract to get his fitness back after being released earlier this summer. They're basically being nice while he finds a new club as he's currently injured. Worth a shout as a loan>>>free if we can afford his wages? Guessing they can't be much if Stoke are doing it as a freebie.

Wilkinson would be a great shout if he was fit enough.

Did cross my mind that today when I saw the article on the beeb but I just can't see any way we could afford his wages if Alf & Al habsi were both non starters due to finances

Didn't know that we ever registered an interest in Al habsi!

If we're selling Vela, which I hope we're not as that pushes Trotter up the list for playing, then we'd better get a hefty sell on clause. If he can get some consistent playing time in midfield I suspect a Prem club would be willing to pay 4-5m. Especially if Brenda gets involved.

I don't think we did but he was quickly dismissed as a possible purchase by the BEN as someone whose wages would be well out of our range

the deal stoke have given him means he wouldn't be available till Jan - he's been out since Feb following a bang on the head and been receiving specialist care, which sounds serious and difficult to assess/ guarantee even in Jan.

Staffs - you asked when the loan window shuts, then deleted it before I could answer. Actually I can't answer, but last season the loan window was 8 Sep to 25 Nov.

Ta - was musing about the whole loan, permanent deal, our finances, his condition but changed my mind. Given our finances and what seems like his condition, if he were even vaguely in our price range l'd be inclined to look at in a few months for Jan window.

Pisano on verge of bolton move. Rumours last week QPR were in contention. Looks to be a good steal if we get him. never seen him play to be fair, but he does have the pace according to FIFA. I'm actually happy with the transfers Lennon has made so far, he didn't wait until last minute like Dougie, as has used his finances wisely (touch wood)

EDIT: However one of his traits are to be Injury prone, not sure how accurate that is...but yeah

There is also mention of ex-Parma striker Massimo Coda. I think this was started on a La Gazzetta dello Sport Twitter link as found on the Lion of Vienna article.

Scored 18 goals in Slovenian first league. Could barely score for Parma, would he be worth it? But then again Madine could barely score for Blackpool.

Yep, BN says club aren't interested in Massimo Coda.

Elsewhere in the paper, some interesting Lennon words:
After (Rob Hall) moved on I would think we can now bring someone in. That is what we are working on now.

I’m not going to talk about players who are contracted to other clubs. Le Fondre did well last year and that’s where we are at the minute. He was well thought of by everyone fans and staff – but I’m not going to disrespect Cardiff by talking about one of their players whether there is interest or not.

We have a set wage bill and we’re right on the cusp of that at the moment. Unless that changes, and someone goes out, then it’s difficult to bring players in. That’s where we are, that’s the barometer, and that’s fine. I have still got some good players to come in who will improve us and make us better.

Elsewhere fatboy Dunn is joining Oldham. Thank goodness for that.
