Unless we can get a couple of mil AND a sell on clause, they can feck off.
No point getting rid unless we can strengthen from the sale.

The question is whether it is a footballing decision or not....ChrisC wrote:Unless we can get a couple of mil AND a sell on clause, they can feck off.

He has worked very hard to get a starting place here. I don't think he will risk being a bench warmer again.

Or want to play for a slightly better team than us in the middle of nowhere, for not much more money. They probably just scouted him and someone got giddy and started a game of Chinese whispers.ChrisC wrote:LeverEnd wrote:and whether Vela himself would fancy it. I'd make the old 'show me arse on the town hall steps' wager but it would be no hardship as I enjoy exposing myself in public.

Jussi has apparently signed for Bradford, shame, would have been nice to have him back. 750k for Vela? hahaaaahaa. Add a zero or feck off.

Not to mention in the gents in the Victoria Inn by all accounts!LeverEnd wrote:I enjoy exposing myself in public.

I like Vela, and I honestly think that with players like him, Clough, Clayton, Davies and Madine in the team, we could surprise a few people this season. If you get rid of one, even if it is to fund Le Fondre's arrival, I think it will be counterproductive, especially in the long-term. The academy is finally bearing some fruits, and to flog one of the graduates for a pittance at the first opportunity would send out a really sour message.

You're just gutted that you didn't get a peek in the Old Original Bay Horse that time.Enoch wrote:Not to mention in the gents in the Victoria Inn by all accounts!LeverEnd wrote:I enjoy exposing myself in public.

I've still not met anyone off here in my 7 year residency.LeverEnd wrote:Or want to play for a slightly better team than us in the middle of nowhere, for not much more money. You're lucky you didn't flop it out in front of that Millwall thug I was with!LeverEnd wrote:You're just gutted that you didn't get a peek in the Old Original Bay Horse that time.Enoch wrote:Not to mention in the gents in the Victoria Inn by all accounts!LeverEnd wrote:I enjoy exposing myself in public.

Proper homophobes those Millwall thugs.

It'd be that we were selling him for such a low amount when we and the club know his potential... why let a club in the same division pinch him for a bargain fee when we could demand a much higher fee in 12 months time all things going to plan?Jugs wrote:I like Vela, and I honestly think that with players like him, Clough, Clayton, Davies and Madine in the team, we could surprise a few people this season. The rumoured 750k is not going to 'save' the club and Josh's wages are hardly breaking the bank so why bother with it? It's only to our detriment to sell him.
We very well might be skint, but there has to be some ambition to what we are doing as a club, and flogging our brightest talents for pocket money is the absolute worst thing we could be doing.

meanwhile, JayJay's about and looking for work...
just sayin'...Okocha could be on the verge of a shock move to amateur side Wolverton Town after playing for their reserve side last week, the club has confirmed.

Here you go - you may as well have this one in lieu of any players coming in, Plymouth.
