Moxey and Ream dealing with Ince coming in off the right?

F*ck me sideways.

That it's going to lose its mind
Be more kind, my friends, try to be more kind.

I rather think that it'll be Moxey and Ream that'll be getting fecked sideways. :)

Are none of the young centre halves we have been playing in pre-season (this Finney, or Holding) not ready to go in the first team yet? Or what about young Quade Taylor who came in at the back end of last season?

I think against a top side in this division like Derby experience helps, so Ream and Dervite is the most obvious pairing because they're the only two 'senior' players we've got available.

Possibly, but as above is the opening game against Derby the right place to throw them in?

We might have to though as I heard a rumour that Ream might not be fully fit as he was seen with strapping on his knee.

Hang on a cottonpickinminute. I recall not so long ago us all shitting ourselves at the prospect of a home fixture against Spurs, who were fresh off a win against Inter Milan at the San Siro. Their fleet-footed jug-eared winger was to be pitted against our absolute mad-head Icelandic skinhead nut bar at right back. We fecking stuffed em 4-2 with our scandinavian pal bagging a goal leaving their welsh wunderkid looking like an alsoran.

What the feck has Tom Ince ever done in his career to invoke such fear? He's a dribbling fancy dan. Gunnlaugsson mk2. Flash in the pan. All that crap.

Come on guys. Moxe the Ox will put his woeful pre-season behind him and play like a west country boy possessed and we'll end up more concerned with how many we're going to score instead of how many we're going to concede.

amiright?

COYW!

I'm feeling full of total blind faith.

He scored 11 in 18 appearances for them last season... I think it's right to be worried about him but most teams in this division would...

Derby are a good side but if we're aiming at the top 10 which I think we should be these are the sort of teams we should be giving a good game. It's like the Watford situation last season... under Dougie they absolutely thumped us but once Lennon was in we gave them one of the games of the season and should've won really, and they had probably the best squad in the division (definitely the best strikers in Deeney, Vydra and Ighalo). Despite losing we showed several times last season that we can mix it with the agreed better teams in this league.

^^^ Did we take even a point off last season's top 6 ?

It's going to be a tough season. I remain thinking we will be solid mid table. Our squad is decent, but thin and we need some solid defenders even if only on loan.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

This division is nuts. We absolutely creamed Hull 4-1 the year they went up. You can get promoted (Palace) conceding as many goals as the team who finished 20th (Millwall) (12/13 season).

Clean slate. Lets shit em!

We almost did the double over Brentford and drew with Ipswich at home....

The Championship is as topsy turvy a division as you will find anywhere, every game is up for grabs.

I would be no more surprised by a Bolton win come Saturday than I would by a Derby win.

I confidently predict a strapped up Ream will pop Ince in his pocket before striding forward to net two of the best goals we will have scored this season. An imperious Moxey will provide silky service to Feeney who's dazzling footwork will bamboozle all and sundry, possibly himself included. Upon the final whistle, Wanderers victorious lap of honour will be usurped as the tannoy bursts into life with the news that a 67 year old Bruce Rioch has agreed to come out of retirement and lead a resurgent BWFC back to the promised land.

He did score 11 goals in 18 games for Derby last season.

Ay up lads, Derby fan here.

I'll be on my way up the M6 for this one and nipped on here to see what your lot are thinking about it.
It seems you're not overwhelmingly confident, and I must admit I think we've got a good chance of a win, but I wouldn't ever be surprised to get turned over away in the Champ. You never know on opening day either do you? Must admit I'm pleased you're missing your centre backs - always rated Wheater at this level and that lad from Madrid(?) can't be any mug can he?

A lot of you seem to be focussed on Tom Ince. He's been peripheral in pre-season, and I expect the strongest area for us will be midfield with Will Hughes and George Thorne looking in good nick. Andreas Weimann should play and looks pacy and sharp. I'd expect us to play a diamond, with Chris Martin and Weimann up front, Ince in behind. Darren Bent and Johnny Russell on the bench.

All the best for the season.

Forgot they had Weimann. Geez I'd take any of them front 4 in exchange for several of ours.

Unknowns for us really are Clough and Mark Davies. If them pair are fit we'll cause some problems...we'll still ship a couple at least mind.
