Honestly think Clough has the magic touch me.. Ghosts in and gets into some great positions and also capable of a bit of magic.. I'd back him and Madine for 10 each if they play 30 games plus

Not many granted, but a whole lot better than we usually get from our strikers

Re assessing my thoughts after losing out on Alf, I may have had this wrong. I thought Alf might be the difference between a crack at promotion and obscurity. I think that now probably applies to a decent centre back.

In the three seasons since we dropped to the second tier the top goalscorer is Chris Eagles with a grand total of 13. N'gog is second on the list with 11. :hang:

Yep, he looks the real deal. So much belief for a 20 year-old too. We saw Reading stick three on him and kick him to bits last year though, he's going to have to get used to a lot of that. No doubt he will, but could take time.

BN have it that we rejected their offer.
Shame. De-Ream and things can only get better.

"Reportedly rejected", that weaselly adverb adding an arm's-length distance from the BN itself.

Ream has two years left on his contract and made more BWFC appearances than anyone else last season, so that's an(other) insultingly low offer.

that's a bit of a drop from your at least 15 PLUS 12 = at least 27!!

Insultingly low it may have been, but I'd have snatched their hands off for it, the useless bastard :D.

BN guy saying no confirmation yet that a bid has even been made....

But timing is wrong on this. I'm no Ream fan but he covers two positions and we need him playing Saturday. Few weeks ago and I'd have driven him there for £2M...but we can't really sell now unless they offer something daft. Or unless we just need the money more than anything else.

to be fair if I was offered £2million - I would drive any of our players anywhere!

Agreed.

I'm not a big fan of Ream, but if we flog him we really are down to the bare bones, especially for Saturday.

Ah, the pedant returns! The two figures aren't mutually exclusive are they? I reckon at least 21, pushed for a bet I'd go for 27. The thing with Clough is that he's worth several penalties and will create room for Madine and our midfielders by drawing defenders wherever he makes runs.

On another note, Bob Taylor scored 18?!! Blimey, I'd forgotten it was that many!

Aye. Does Ream's Mrs make fantastic cakes and biscuits? His seat in the car could depend on this. :D

So at what point do we sell Timmy? Now the bidding has opened snd his agent has whispered in his shell like that he could double his money, how long before another bid comes on and at what point do we get Bruce to instruct those Albanian blokes to valet his car for 3 quid prior to the journey south?

don't get too excited, sounds like konchesky is joining qpr - presumably as LB - at least we don't have these prolonged transfer sagas.
