You've said this a few times. Show me the parts you mean that demonstrate your conclusion.Hoboh wrote: And you don't take that it may mean to go looking for his son by getting involved with the traffickers is the dangerous part?
There is nothing in the article to suggest anything other than he has cleared off because he wants a better life in the EU by illegal means.
My point is not that he might not simply be after a better life. Of course he might be. But you're applying a bias to a piece of evidence, that does not suggest that.
We know that in Eritrea young men are forced into national service often for extended periods of time. They are meant to serve 18 months but often are forced (illegally) to serve years even decades. We also know their government isn't afraid of torturing or murdering its citizens.
It is perfectly possible that he's just buggering off because he thinks he can earn a better standard of living elsewhere. However, again, you've posted something that as far as I can see doesn't have one bit of evidence to suggest that.

I'm like Bryan Ferry, only less hirsute, and fatter, and not as good-looking, or as well dressed. Other than for those trivial details........Worthy4England wrote:They're all fcking younger than Brucie, and I'm not sure he can afford to be that choosey!

Re: Today I'm angry about.....
it seems that my mother (who brought 4 dogs with her when she came to visit last week) has left behind a small flea infestation
my dog is now scratching and people have bites on their ankles...
I need to deal with it before it gets big, but the inlaws are staying and the missus says I have to deal with steaming/chemically spraying the carpets and furniture in a secretive and surrepticious way so that her parents don't realise what is going on!
talk about having a problem to solve with one hand tied behind your back!

Talking of fleas etc. The was an article ont' wireless this morning about head lice. How someone can do a piece on same, including interviewing someone from some sort of task-force organisation, without once mentioning 'Nitty Nora the Bug Explorer' is utterly beyond me. What's happened to her? What have they done with her?

Was the only thing that worked when one of our cats brought some in. I used the carpet cleaner about a week later to be sure, but the smoke bombs worked well. We went out for about 3 hours, locking the cats out, then windows open for an hour and you'd never knowthebish wrote:yeah - I would - except that's probably the least surrepticious solution possible!Abdoulaye's Twin wrote:Get those smoke bomb things off Amazon and get them all out the house for a few hours.![]()
