What are you eating and drinking tonight?

If you have a life outside of BWFC, then this is the place to tell us all about your toilet habits, and those bizarre fetishes.......

Dunno if anybody is planning on going to the Food & Drink Festival in Bolton this weekend, but I've been doing the drive time show on Bolton FM and we're running competitions where you can win £25 vouchers for it. Literally nobody ever rings up so if you've got nothing better to do you're pretty much guaranteed to win!

You can listen online at http://www.boltonfm.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;, we're on from 3-6pm.

That is true - the wine especially is pricey. Hope you can get a table. It isnt always easy at short notice. If you can't then Morito is an exceptionally good alternative. You can't book at Morito and it's popular and small. They take your mobile number and call you when they have a table. If its fine an outside table is good. Wine list all Spanish ISTR. You could try a... Rioja... :D

:D I think I might.

Well, you know my take on these things - If you can tell where your extra money's gone then it's money well spent.

Friend has a knack of being able to secure tables at short notice ;)

If I could be arsed doing a check on the owners names, I imagine there would be 1 standout thing linking almost ALL of these establishments

^^^ what the hell? I'm not as anti strange presentations of food as some seem to be on here. I think a cheese course looks quite fetching on a slate for example. But that above neither looks good, serves any purpose or is remotely practical.

I'm going to make a roast dinner tomorrow and serve it in a pint glass for a laugh....

I'm one of these on here who's very anti strange presentation. However, I have to say that, for me, a cheese course actually benefits aesthetically by being served on a slate.

We await photo's of your Sunday lunch. :D

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

I can tell you it isn't funny. Once, whilst very ill on admittance to hospital they liquidised the Sunday lunch and served it to me in a bowl. A pint glass would neither have helped nor made it worse :vomit:

In that case for balance I'm off to pour meself a pint of cider onto a dinner plate.
But here's the quandary...do I drink it with a knife and fork or lap it up like an overweight German Shepherd?

Which one do you feel best equipped for? :-)

Holts' have been serving Sunday Dinner in a pint glass for years.

Please tell me this has been done as a joke and is not in a restaurant? If I was served a meal like that it would get sent back or I would get up and leave.
