FfxcinFS!
If disagreeing over which tracks of Dylan people can stand listening to constitutes real anger, no wonder the world is fxcked.
And as for the cnut who shot the bull elephant and all the other cnuts in the chain of death, well... don't ever ever... oh what's the fxckin point?

I think you missed my point...I was being angry. On the angry thread. I think you have a very pre-post modern attitude. If you don't mind me observing!thebish wrote:

Decorated War Hero Dog Shot Dead By Cyclist!
Why when you are a war veteran suffering PTS would you leave your fxckin dog to go huntin'?
Why when you are a cyclist would you carry a fxckin gun?
Why, when you are willing to kill animals for no other fxckin reason than you can would you criticise others who've just done the same to your abandoned pet: abandoned because you went out to gratuitously kill another animal?
Why do Americans exist? Did God invent these cxnts?

Re: Today I'm angry about.....
One of my ex colleagues has just announced that they are leaving for a new post. A source for anger??
5 years ago, having alienated a whole team and service users, a great reference was supplied after they talked the talk at an interview and secured a promotion. The relief in the office was apparently tangible. After 18 months, having seen chaos ensue and with other staff complaining, another great reference was supplied by another manager in order to get rid and a jump of 2 pay bands took place.
In the past 2 years, chaos has again reigned. I fielded several calls from senior managers in other organisations who's main question was "WtF"??! after being on the receiving end of an hour long blustering, meaningless monologue about subjects which weren't even on the meeting agenda. 3 other colleagues have left, citing said manager as the reason, 2 of whom were regularly in tears at their desks. Such was the joy at the news of their leaving next month, that 2 organisations bought cake yesterday to celebrate. I kid you not.
Yet another promotion has been secured after yet another sterling reference was written and despatched. You'll be pleased to know that they are now at Director level on well over 65k . I only hope that there is no adverse effect on anyone's hospital treatment. No wonder the NHS is fecked, as it's a story you will hear time and again across the organisation.

^ You may be surprised to know it's not just the NHS. In fact it's not just the public sector. This sort of shit exists all over the fxckin place. I can guarantee that every senior leader of any company in the British railway sector is a complete fxckin numpty and the only way they've got where they are is through similar processes.

This. Perhaps not quite as widespread as "every" but definitely it isn't an NHS or public sector only phenomenon. I suppose the difference in the Public sector is the procedure to go through for getting rid of people is often seen as very difficult so to make life easier people are just given great refs and the problem passed around.Lost Leopard Spot wrote:^ You may be surprised to know it's not just the NHS. Re: Today I'm angry about.....
Read an article on the BBC website that made me angry twice.
Firstly, UEFA have opened a disciplinary case against City because their fans booed the Champions League "anthem". Seriously?! Do they not have slightly more pressing concerns at the moment?!
Secondly, there was a picture of a "selfie", Sergio Aguero between David Cameron and Xi Jinping. What the fcuk is that? I'd be cringing if they were ordinary middle aged men. Jesus.

Champions League 'anthem'? That'll be nothing other than, at best, a theme tune won't it?

May the bridges I burn light your way
Re: Today I'm angry about.....
how on earth can they prove they were actually booing rather than sounding like they were? (I bit like oppo fans thinking we were booing Muamba when we were, in fact, mooing!)

My fxckin dog, doesn't understand she's got an extra hour today. I've tried saying it slowly and yelling it loudly but she's just not getting it. If she gets me up at 4 I'll be livid. (actually I won't, I'll be zombified).

Five spells in prison clearly have not worked for this 'thing'!
Go on, why is a bullet not the only suitable answer to scum like this?

The devil, as always, is in the detail. So under the headline of (something like, you know use your imagination)..
CITY FANS TO BE SMASHED BY JOHNNY FOREIGNER UEFA EUROCRAT FOR BEING PLUCKY BRITS
The actual quote (you know, using these "" things, as if the UEFA spokesman actually said this) was something like "The match official included the incident in his report but it's unlikely to warrant any further action. I'm just off to fetch a brew, anyone fancy one?" (or words to that effect). I can just imagine The Sun and Daily Mail reporters absolutely seething with contempt at having their headlines stolen off them, so they printed it anyway. With some references to Platini in there as well. The foreign bastard.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.

oh... I took it slightly more seriously cos Pru posted it (not hobes) and said he'd actually read the article...

Re: Today I'm angry about.....
This isn't the article I read, but I think an updated version of it, on the BBC which says disciplinary proceedings have been opened and there'll be a hearing in November. Last updated today so they seem to think it's still ongoing.

Re: Today I'm angry about.....
My understanding is that under Uefa law, anything the match official includes in his report has to have an investigation - and I guess subsequent "hearing" (though I doubt it will involve Supreme Court Judges and million-pound-an-hour barristers). I have a feeling that..
A) Man City will overhype the woe is me line
B) The papers, who have cock-all interesting to write on anything of any substance will feed yet more shite to a suspecting and welcoming audience
C) Quietly, and in actuality, very little will happen. But yeah, Uefa have a grudge against us and yet allow Russian fans to ritually sacrifice black players on the pitch whilst doing nothing. Or something similar that was in the Mail Online.

It's a hymn, you godless bastardsBruce Rioja wrote:Champions League 'anthem'? That'll be nothing other than, at best, a theme tune won't it?
Well, I say that.. They changed the words a bit to make it sound like they're singing about the Champions League - But it's called Zadok the Priest I think.
Anyway.. Absolutely pathetic that they're in trouble for this. Talk about censoreship!!

it is/was an anthem composed for the coronation of George 2nd... I think it has been sung at every coronation since, though I may be wrong about that... it's such a long time since we had one!

Re: Today I'm angry about.....
Handel composed the score for the coronation of George II, but the words - taken from the Book of Kings - have been used at every coronation since Anglo-Saxon times. Personally I blame St. Augustine (of Canterbury).
"If you cannot answer a man's argument, all it not lost; you can still call him vile names. " Elbert Hubbard.
