I've read the twitter stuff and it doesn't sound great. Whether you believe Nixon or not, he's apparently said that we're as far away from a deal as we ever have been. With the spectre of administration looming large, that's not something we need to hear.

ahhh - but is he hearing those worrying things from you?

I thought - earlier he was very worried that it was all summat dodgy and there'd be no deal and we'd be in administration by early this week..

or was that an earlier, earlier?

friday/saturday - certain of doom
sunday - fairly sure of salvation
monday - worried about doom

tuesday and thursday will be a good days then - but steer clear of twitter on wednesday!

either way he'll be able to say - see! I told you so!

Can 'Iles' be a bit more specific?
Doubt it. There are other people commenting if you care to read their view.

Gary Megson on not being able to afford Veloso, January 2009. I guess now we're down to having our feet poke through the floor like Fred Flintstone.
Nowadays, we can't even afford the Shire Horse, let alone the tiara. We just have donkeys.

no he can't..

earlier this afternoon Iles tweeted:
gears turning, something will get done - quite sure of that at the moment
a few hours later he tweeted:
hearing some worrying stuff again
but declines to say what or anything else about it...

that's about the long and the short of it...

further to which, Iles is now tweeting that he has a story in tomorrow's paper (well - I'd expect that - he's the sports writer!)

he's kinda hinting by reply to someone else that Eddie is selling for £15mill

arse - BWFC-I has got me looking at twitter - weirdly and depressingly addictive! :(

but if eddie is selling for 15mill - then that boshes Nixon's tweets that there is no buyer... :conf:

Yep, that's what happens :P

It's just taking twists and turns all the time. Who knows how it will end?!

Nixon is saying there are interested parties but all along he's said it means little till one puts some hard cash down. And that seems to be an issue.

He's been saying for a while to summarise 'lots of talk little action'.

I don't remotely understand all this financial talk but £15m for a club with no debts, it's own ground, a hotel and a huge piece of valuable real estate sounds like a pretty good deal for the buyer

Anybody got the tweet from @timessport? (Sorry Bish!)
Basically they are saying that these consortiums are needing to get loans themselves to finance a deal and this is causing a delay. Only trouble is there isn't that much time as HMRC are waiting in the background waiting for, I think about £3m.

This is steadily looking more and more bleak.
One of the worst periods in the clubs history this.

I hope we come out the right side and think we will but how painful will the journey be?
