As usual, in the comments section there's some stuff beneath contempt but it's hard to argue with the line reminding us of Gartsides regular assurances that the debt 'wasn't a problem'Little Green Man wrote:Grim stuff

The debt isn't a problem. We've run out of money!Harry Genshaw wrote:As usual, in the comments section there's some stuff beneath contempt but it's hard to argue with the line reminding us of Gartsides regular assurances that the debt 'wasn't a problem'Little Green Man wrote:Grim stuff

Re: The Debt.
Think this sums up the mess:
Marc Iles @MarcIles 18m18 minutes ago
@warby78 asking for £15m to cover til end of season. One side say they've provided proof, other says they haven't. A mess.

Re: The Debt.
Its shameful this.
Why on earth didn't Davies make such efforts to sell the club years ago if he knew he was running out of money? And why on earth did he turn down £5 million for Mark Davies AFTER relegation if he knew his money was running out.
Baffling.

Re: The Debt.
One of the conditions of the clubs sale previously is thought to be that ED wanted PG on the board of whoever decided to take over. Not one of the prospective buyers over the years wanted that as they wanted a clean start.

Eddie is the one calling the shots. The owner. Everyone involved deserves criticism but me the buck stops with him. He's the owner of the business.Harry Genshaw wrote:BWFC_Insane wrote:The debt isn't a problem. If he's due plaudits for being at the helm during our salad days he can't be beyond criticism now we're entering our darkest hour

Re: The Debt.
Sounds like nonsense to me. The thing holding it up is surely that none of these interested parties have shown the necessary cash. Gartside is out the picture now and still they can't stump up the money.TKIZ! wrote:One of the conditions of the clubs sale previously is thought to be that ED wanted PG on the board of whoever decided to take over. Apologies Insaneo, meant that previous buyers had been scared off, not this set now as Gartside will not be returning to the clubBWFC_Insane wrote:Sounds like nonsense to me. Re: The Debt.
The two groups who were negotiating for a while were still in. Thais and Arabs. But again nobody is putting money on the table.TKIZ! wrote:Apologies Insaneo, meant that previous buyers had been scared off, not this set now as Gartside will not be returning to the clubBWFC_Insane wrote:Sounds like nonsense to me. The issue is fairly plain. Nobody wants to sink loads of money in to keep us afloat. Why would you when you can buy cheap after admin?
Holdsworth bid apparently has the most advanced point in negotiations but is based on borrowing money. All the bids are apparently based on borrowing money. None are really funded.
Re: The Debt.

Re: The Debt.
Why will it be reet?
Either you need Glazier type jackals with no money but plenty of leveraged snouts in troughs (and Bolton's trough is pretty fxcking shallow at the moment), or you need an Abramovich type ego with loads of ill gotten dosh and a penchant for toys (but who the fxck wants to play with League One toys if you can have Premiership toys, especially at that sort of doshage!).
I've no idea what Iles or Nixon are saying, but I know this: football's glorious golden financial era is long due a comeuppance, and some poor sodding club will at some stage get a rude kick up the jacksie, and divine providence doesn't guarantee that that'll not be us.

So you don't think we will enter administration? Because it will be reet could mean a lot of things.....thebish wrote:cos I say so - and I may have more to say about it in my blog next week - and i spoke to another bloke who also thinks it'll be reet. I really hope not. For me logically it is hard to see why anyone would buy us right now. But then football and logic don't always go together.thebish wrote:nahh - I don't think we will. it'll be reet!BWFC_Insane wrote:So you don't think we will enter administration?
