Sadly not, but I salute you for the effort.

No doubt it will be a fun day out ruined only slightly by the 90 minutes of football you will have to endure.

I'm nearly going.

Will be in Doncaster for some ungodly reason and I just know the 90 minutes of football you will have to endure would be preferable.

I'll give a shout out, let me know if you hear it.

Albeit not quite compliant with the Rioja formula, very nice thread title.

I'm going. It'll be shit. However it will be followed by a night-out in an arachnid-themed nightclub called Spiders that I've not visited for a while. Last time I was there they did Pangalactic Gargleblasters for about £2.50, which were pint cocktails containing 8 various shots of the hard stuff. That should kill a few of the brain cells that remember our mauling at the paws of the Tigers.

Can't believe that's still going. It was there when I was at uni in Hull, '92-'95 – so yes, I was a resident when we played That Game That Always Gets Mentioned When We Play Hull, And Quite Rightly So.

I've been a few times as a good mate of mine lives over that way but not for over 10 years. I'll look like someone's grandad in there now but I don't care. I'll let you know.

Managerless by then? Lennon's odds cut for Reading job, now 2nd favourite. Can'tt see that happening!

Interesting idea.

It's possible he could walk away with reputation more or less intact if the wider public believe that finances ruined his chances here. We'd know it was probably a bit more nuanced than that, but by then he'd be off. And I dare say the vast majority of Bolton fans wouldn't hate him in say five years' time: depending on subsequent events, he might be seen as the bloke who left just before the takeover that saved us, or the pilot who ejected from the burning cockpit.

(Or possibly something in between: not all takeovers lead to pure triumph or disaster.)

I'd be pretty annoyed if he left with reputation in tact. The bloke has to take some responsibility, in fact a large part, for the awful results he has produced here.

I'm not arguing with your right to have that opinion. To some extent, I may share it. I'm just saying that Joe Fan (or Boris Chairman) at another team might well look at Lennon's record at Celtic, assume he was always on a shit hand at Bolton, and get quite excited.

In a division where Douglarse can get the Forest job, anything can happen.

Think you've got that the wrong way round. Go to the club and kill your brain cells before the game; then it's one of those win-win's.
NB does Spiders hand out free towels to go with the Pangalactic Gargleblaster?

The Foresf job isn't a great gig. More like a poisoned chalice.

Can't imagine it will be £600,000. Although I suppose he's got, what, 18 months left on his contract?

By the way, in May 2014 Reading themselves were about to get a winding-up petition over £1.6m (!) owed to HMRC. They sold ALF to cover it, then got Zingarevich to zling his hook (think he had a two-year deadline to complete his takeover from John Madejskistadium) and got some new owners (Thais?).
