I've always thought we judge players way too early! as unfortunate as it is, not many hit the ground running!

Moxey certainly falls into that! I know he had a decent rep at Palace!

Also needs saying that Holding looks a good one. Real battler. Not entirely sure he is a right back but seems like good experience for him.

This - but today for once they played with pride, energy & passion for the entire 90 mins, which they haven't done in recent memory

Its only one win but the performance was much better all over the pitch, fantastic defending all game - Wheater, Moxey & Prince were excellent, Holding got better as the game went on after a shaky 1st 5 mins and had a solid game, M Davies, Clough were creative and both played really well - even Pratley had a good game in the middle, his best all season

The only poor performances for me would be Vela & Feeney, but Vela improved 2nd half. Madine was poor for me, but a very good goal, lets hope this breeds confidence and its always good beating them Blackburn bast*rds.

Prince was dreadful, IMO.

Hey clean sheet! Granted he made a mistake or 2! but the lads only 22, new to english football and hasn't had a decent run of games!

I like him, he has all the attributes to be a good player at this level! he's athletic and very quick! I saw him chuck him self at everything today!

He needs to sort his peripheral vision out, for me.

Aye, but I think there's a lot all our players could improve on!

Its heart in mouth time every time he's on the ball, but I thought he (Prince) won loads of headers and was quite strong & physical against a big Blackburn side. He's had stick this season and deservedly so for making some poor decisions - but he was half decent today and like Wheater & Moxey he threw his body in front of the ball on several occasions.

Excellent today from all the back four.

I dipped in and out of the game (hey, if the players can!) and I only saw Prince pass to the opposition or out of play. Marginally preferable to Dervite for me, but I'm glad I don't get to watch often!

And that's the alternative- no thanks!

Decent run of games he'll get better.

I was there today and have to say the team seemed both better organised and committed than I had been led to believe by recent reports. Of course it could have been down to it being a derby but even so there were a number of stand-outs for me.

Lennon did not make stupid substitutions. There appeared to be a game plan.
Moxey and Holding are potentially very good full backs - if only we could keep them.
Prince put in a huge amount of effort, mostly to significant effect.
Wheater was back to how I remembered him a year or two back. Effective but a bit lumbering.
Mark Davies was good today as was Clough.

I don't think Pratley or Vela had a good game.
We got rid of the wrong winger when Hall went out to MK Dons. Feeney is useless.
Madine, despite the goal, is mostly a waste of space.

Amos was ok and did what he had to do.

All in all we have (or had if players start disappearing in January) a decent core of players. It appears to me that they have been badly managed, much like the club, and the blame must be put on the management team who have been allowed too much leeway by the board and in particular Gartside.

Expect them to start losing again starting on the 2nd

Vela had a very good first half.

Feeney is hit and miss - his work-rate is unquestionable. Hall was all miss with none of the work-rate.

I thought Prince had a very solid game.
