^^ he did. Whilst not actually living on Plymouth. Yhe man's a charlatan.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Barnsley Manager

Conor Wilkinson will be going back. I'm disappointed in him if I'm honest.

"I think he's got all the talent in the world but his application needs to improve.

"He could be anything, but it's up to him. If he improves his ways the world's his oyster."

Seem to remember a few managers saying the same.

Yes. He was signed on a Bosman, like Amos, Madine, Osede, Dobbie, Wilson, Casado, Rachubka and Ameobi.

Unlike in January, when everyone except Twardzik was a loanee, Prince and Wellington are the only players we borrowed this summer (well, September in Wellington's case).

Incidentally, according to Wiki, only 6 of our 27 first-team squad cost a transfer fee - Wheater, Spearing, Davies, Clayton, Twardzik and Woolery.

it's just as well we slapped a £4,000,000 price tag on him then! :D what with Tuttomercatoweb coming calling!

Never sure when stories break how to view them.

I was told Kamara is a quite, respectful lad, that goes about his business in a professional manner. That was some time ago mind.

I'm not suggesting either take on him is right or wrong, it just illustrates my reluctance to pay much attention to most of the 'news' that's peddled.

I'm perplexed.
So far, on the official side of things:
Incoming - 0
Outgoing - 1, possibly 2 (Trotter, who is owned by Plymouth, and the other one whom Plymouth has 'divulged')
Correct, or not so correct? ( I know I should know, but I don't. Too much concentration on inconsequential stuff, like finances).
That's not a leopard!

A real, proper shame. Chased him like mad and clearly one party, or both, has regretted it.

As I remember it, Lennon needed a specialist RB, and took Wilson on a free, but admittted he was to be a squad player not a first choice. Then he got Pisano after a bit of a saga and Wilson was binned completely after a bad game at Huddersfield. Then after a few games where he looked OK for someone who hadn't played for a while, Pisano was binned and we went back to pretend RBs. Now Wilson is back on the bench.
I also recall Lennon saying something about Pisano 'not being physical enough', so why sign him then?

Found the quote from after the Ipswich game...
I need some consistency,” he told The Bolton News. “I don’t want to keep chopping and changing my back four but looking at what I saw against Ipswich it just wasn’t good enough.

“I have got a problem at right-back at the minute. It wasn’t the kind of game I wanted to play Pisano – it was going to be physical and we needed a good head at the back.

“Lawrie (Wilson) is just out of favour. He’s had his ups and downs.

“I brought Prince off and Derik has been playing there but he’s been playing nowhere near good enough for my liking.”

Any manager can sign a player and fall out with him. Lord Rioch did it with Steve Fulton (and how!).

Seems that Lennon has tried four signings at right-back (including Derik and, if I'm not mistaken, Prince) before ending up with an Academy kid there anyway – and long may Holding continue to impress.

He spent the little money we had on a position that we already had cover for?
