England crush South Africa before lunch. Won by 241 runs, excellent effort from all. Moene's the man. :oyea:

I saw us get wicket nr5 in the first over. Had to do some pottering for about an hour - came back to watch the wrap up and they were showing the highlights!

Cook went for 27, but we're currently on a handy 122-1.

A dreadful shot by Compton to midwicket there. 167-3 at tea,

That is a bit dissapointing. Compton has really added something to our batting and that will have given the S.A's a lift. Still a very decent start though.

I must be being too critical as the guys in the studio reckon it was a good shot. I'm of the opinion that hitting the ball to midwicket at chest height isn't. :conf:

As you say though, a very decent start.

Sickener. That's the lift proven. Let's hope we settle down now and take back control.

317-5 at close. That's a decent showing and a good recovery from that tea spell.

I turned on to find we were 525-5 after about 3 hours play. Scored 196 before lunch & Stokes is on over 200. I wondered if I'd missed a day.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Lunch has already gone. Few hours ahead.

Unbelievable batting from Stokes and Bairstow.

Interested in how they bat because our two just made this look like a flat Tarmac strip.
