I cant say if its a good pub but Eastleigh have suggested the cricketers - SO53 3HN, its about a 20 minute walk away. We will try it out.

Back when people bought newspapers, companies used to pay subs to check things. If folks want it fast and free, they can't expect it faultless.

Also: we've had 20 years of English lessons prioritising creativity over grammar, so standards have slipped noticeably. I regularly receive, and almost always disregard, job applications with embarrassing typos. "So you wanna be a writer? Why should anybody else read it if you can't be arsed?"
