On the one hand there's a meeting tonight to see if a Supporter's Trust is to be set up, and for people to express an interest on forming a steering group, and yet the Supporter's Trust is already set up (they've organised the meeting) and there are people out there (Christopher Peacock being one) that are already claiming to be on the steering group. So we've got a Supporter's Trust and a steering group calling a meeting to see if a Supporter's Trust and a steering group are to be formed! Confused, yes I am.

Earlier I think it was mooted these people a for the interim. I think voting will take place following this?

Once any takeover is completed, are the club then in a position to renegotiate high earners player contract,s? Or do the contracts still stand? I understand that some would be miffed at having to lower their pay,but realistically are our high earners in a position to command those same high salaries elsewhere.

This the bit I don't get. If HMRC do put the club into administration, then surely HMRC's Administrator speaks to whoever feck he or she wants. What makes the Football League think that he/she is somehow bound by their rules? :conf:

I don't think they are but I'm dammed sure someone would make it, shall we say, politically correct to do so.

There's a Football Creditors' Rule that's in force. HMRC challenged it in 2012 and lost. The rules were updated this year.

The way I read that article is that after administration non-preferred creditors (I assume including HMRC) don't get 25p in the £1 then we start on -15 points in League One.

Cheers, Greenie. I'll have a read of 'em later. I'm amazed that HMRC lost the case.

Another thing, too. Can we not take the points hit this season as we're going down anyway?

There's an article here explaining why they lost.

http://www.theguardian.com/football/201 ... change-law

I suspect the recent update to the rule was in part to halt the clamour for a law change allowing another challenge by HMRC.

We can take the 12 point deduction this season as long as we enter administration before a certain date but that first article suggests there'd be subsequent deduction if the new owners disobeyed the new creditor rules.

Fair enough, I'm not seeing anything on there but ads for posters and the what not and no pop ups. I'll just remove the link
