Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

So can someone give me a run-down of anything important that was discussed and/or decided upon?

Or was it just more flotsam in the general drift toward administration?
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Summary:
We now have a Supporter's Trust (even though it's been up and running for weeks now)
Anybody who wants to be on its Steering Group can put their name forward (including those who are already running the Steering Group)
It is stone cold stoney broke. It has no money whatsoever.
It wants to buy the club.

Can't be any worse off than the club though, can it?

When we are in the National League it might be a boon. Currently it is little more than noise in the background.

^^it isn't being formed to take over the club. But rather to provide a voice for Bolton fans in the future running of the club, hopefully. And to allow that voice to potentially even have a seat on the board if a future owner is willing.

If things happen and the trust is in a place to at some point take over the club it is like any other buyer. Just run by fans. But I suspect that is pie in the sky currently.

However, dismissing it because they can't buy the club is rather missing the point.

It's not paid the hire fee for the room last night, which in the small print on the booking form said.

Burnden Leisure Ltd reserve the right to charge £185,000,000 on room bookings at or near to capacity.

No wonder there were some smiley faces at the 'Cron this morning...

I don't think I'm missing any fxcking point. I have an MP: my relationship to the Tory nice person Patrick McLaughlin is probably going to be similar to my relationship to whoever the Supporters Trust member on the board will be. That is, extremely distant, irrelevant, non-functioning, annoying, a pain in the arse, and utterly inconsequential to my life.

We're disappointed to read the last few pages remain dismissive of the trust after the meeting.

Thank you to any other posters who've submitted a form. We've received about 250 forms so please be patient while we work through them all.

^^ The phrase "LOL" is much overused. It should be reserved for really deserving moments.

This is one of them.

LOL. LOL. LOL. LOL.

Is the Disappointed One still about?
Can you tell me: how are the people who've expressed an interest on being on the Steering Group to be chosen, by whom, and using what method?

in this world,,, there are people who get of their arses and do something to make a change, make a positive contribution by their efforts,,,,,,,,
and then there's those who never do anything but the bare minimum, who snipe from the sidelines, criticise, ridicule the efforts of others but ultimately never achieve much themselves in life.

Am disgusted but not surprised by the attitude of some of the regular posters on this board regarding the new supporters trust
:whack:

look at the situation the wanderers are in......... !!!!!
surely a bit of people power has to be a great thing...
so what if they havent decided what their ulimate objective is ???
or if they have decided, and their objective is to own the club, or just have fan representation on the board... who knows
but whatever it is,,,,,,,, at least they are doing something constructive

which is a vast improvement on some of the recent posts on here

Constructive eh?
I've merely queried how the interim self set up Steering Group are deciding who from amongst the people who've expressed an interest on being one are basing their decision! Is that a hard question to answer, or are they too busy saving the universe whilst I sit on my arse and snipe from the sidelines.
(PS most effective sniping is done from undercover and elevated position. Sidelines are for amateurs).
