I believe that bit, and that's what sickens me the most.

Won't be Sheffield Wednesday, hardly a surprise club.

Couple of Leeds fans on about it, that would be a surprise!

These 2 will go to pay HMRC.
We'll then be sold and the rebuilding begins from League 1.

Perhaps Liverpool will pay £5m for him and loan him straight back to us. :|

Be interesting see what the large bid actually is??

I'm going for 2.5 mill. I rate him around the 5-6 mill bracket

Be for feck all, I doubt there'll even be a sell on clause.

One of if not the biggest talents out of the youth set up in years and he's off for a lump of coal and stick of celery.

Fast losing patience with the club. I can cope with the losses on the pitch but to lose a player with such potential for pittance I fear will be the last straw for many.

I hear you, and wouldn't be surprised. Problem is we've punched so far above our weight because of all the investment for years, that a bit like the Stock Market crashing, there had to be a reckoning at some point. It's a good job there was no particular "last straw" for the few that used to turn up and watch us in our Div 4 season. Easy to support a team that has everything going for it - a criticism I often these days get to roll-out at whinging red bastards.

I hear ya!

I know he's the most saleable asset ,but I thought we'd try every other avenue before selling him.

The club is quickly becoming a fair ground! Sickening.

So, we finally nurture our own talent, with our academy producing its first real gold nugget for years and years, and we have to pretty much sell straight away because the clowns at the top have run our club badly. Fantastic.

The great escape. Wonder how sales of 1/2 season tickets are going?

I'm feck* furious with this. Especially with the lad not wanting to go. Ed could stop this but is choosing to sit back and let it happen. Wanker!!

Maybe Big Sam is doing us a favour and buying him to help out only to loan him to us again? #Hopekills

Safe to say this is heading into the biggest week in Bolton's modern history. In so many ways.

PG getting his usual transfer bonus I suspect.

I'm genuinely shocked at how much of a whimper this has happened with. I know it wouldn't make any difference, but for the fans not to turn on Eddie/Lennon has really made me question the passion.

Eddie Davies has destroyed the club and I fear that I was right 3 months ago when I was rubbished for saying that his plan was to wind us up so that he could sell the assets and add to his profits.

Disgusting

You didn't manage to show any "profits" he'd made then nor now. In fact when you talked about the TV money, I think it was shown that the TV money didn't even cover the player wage bill. So I'll carry on fearing I was right, that ED put plenty in, told the club he was going to stop putting plenty in and stopped at the agreed date...

I still don't believe his plan was to wind the Club up. So no whimper from me.

Calm down you bunch of Panic Fannies!
1. No bid reported yet
2. The lad doesn't want to go
3. He's still largely unproven

On the other hand, I bet the fee is no more than 1 mil.
