I imagine that if this is true then it'll be a case of - we'll match your wages if we can have you for nowt.
So ... what do we get out of this? 20k off our monthly wage bill?
Closer to £80K, I hear.
Blimey, I must have forgotten how much he was on.

Time for a summary methinks. 39 scintillating pages and what have you got:
a) Trotter's back
b) Lawrie Wilson to Peterborough on loan
c) lots of fevered speculation mainly surrounding Vela, Clough and Mavies
That's not a leopard!

Bijou Bob started it on here. But I see that Iles has been repeating it.
Aye. Iles tweets, about half an hour ago:
Mark Davies heading for #swfc it seems - due a medical but deal now done between player and both clubs. Expect it to go through.
Expect the clubs will do the old 'undisclosed' fee - but I understand it is minimal, if anything at all. More about wages off the bill
This kind of thing does happen a lot. Did with Jermaine Beckford to #bwfc from #lcfc in fact. Fee ends up being low - but so is severance.

Getting his wages off long term or medium term is important.

I'm not really sure short term this is that helpful as it isn't going to hugely impact on cash flow.

Not really sure of the rationale behind giving him away but then obviously every pound saves and all that.....

Clear that we are not getting a new owner any time soon.

I still don't get the logic of Middlesbro offering £500,000 and been turned down without negotiating and then accepting a free after an opening bid of £750,000 from Wedns?!
When not go back to Middlesborough and snap their hand off?

Marc Iles tweets over the last 15 mins:
.@ZachClough has turned down a move to Bristol City. Story coming up soon - but speaking on behalf of #bwfc fans. Great news.
On a day where money demands have been on the agenda, refreshing to see a youngster making a decision with his heart and head
Also worth noting that sale of land at Macron has taken pressure off #bwfc for a bit. Breathing space at last. Now to get a deal done.

When was the bid from Middlesbrough? Before Christmas, wasn't it? Can't remember quite how bad our situation was in the public's knowledge. Have all our doom and gloom announcements since then completely scuppered our bargaining position?

Or is Terry Robinson really a transfer genius "to those who know football"?

Let's not get excited by young Zac turning down Bristol. Wolves gave git 12 million quid burning a hole in their pockets. I still think he'll have to go.

Apparently we've reported SWFC for their conduct in the transfer. Doesn't go into detail.

So Wednesday outsmarted us. Didnt know how to contain him so made an acceptable offer to prevent him from playing against them, then pulled the plug on the fee is how I read this.

Kudos to them for outmanoeuvring our world-renowned financial wizards and almost unbeatable first-team squad...
