Do any of the stat websites allow you to search by highest ever proportion of a team's points that came from draws?
Although seeing us near the top of a table might be a bit much for the less resilient among us, so maybe search for "highest percentage of points to come from wins" and scroll down.

OK, folks, tea time is over (spaghetti with a truffle pesto. Pretentious? Moi?). Let's have some stats.
Spoiler alert: we're fecked.
Looking back over the past four seasons, no team - other than Blackpool last year - has had as few points as us after 26 games. Of the teams in the bottom three after 26 games, only 3 of 12 avoided relegation. Two teams had 31pts at this stage and still went down.
Aside from last season, one "bottom-3-after-26" team each year goes on a decent run in the final 20 games and avoids the drop. Forest managed 26pts in 20 games; Charlton 27pts; and Barnsley 34pts.
The (rhetorical) question is: are we that team this season?

Good work Tony, interesting stuff. As an aside, I note we're sixth from bottom in the recent-form table: others having a worse time than us over the last six games include relegation rivals Charlton, Bristol C and (at a push) Fulham, plus QPR and Brighton.
Here's a site which might drain your life of all other interest: Soccerstats.com. For instance, did you know that only four teams in our division have a higher average number of minutes per game in which they're drawing? (Sadly, no team has a lower average number of minutes per game in which they're winning...)

Can't think of any that compare by season ("highest ever"). You'd have to find a site that gives you that proportion one season then check back through the ages. This shit ain't easy...Prufrock wrote:Do any of the stat websites allow you to search by highest ever proportion of a team's points that came from draws?

Lennon has announced the names of the travelling squad for tomorrow's game.
Has this been done by us before?
If it has, what advantage is there to be gained by us doing it?

It's a first as far as I know. Something to do with the past week's confusion as to whether various players were leaving or not perhaps?

I think it's just the club trying something new on twitter etc really. Nice to know who's travelled though as it got us talking about it last night in the pub.Nicko58 wrote:Lennon has announced the names of the travelling squad for tomorrow's game.

Given half the squad have allegedly been talking to other clubs for the last two weeks, might be the only way he can tell them all they've got a game this weekend...NiceHotCuppaTea wrote:I think it's just the club trying something new on twitter etc really. Team:
Amos, Holding, Dervite, Wheater, Moxey, Vela, Trotter, Pratley, Wellington, Feeney, Madine
Bench: Davies, Danns, Spearing, Woolery, Dobbo and Casado.
Casado the only defensive option on the bench...!
