Having said that I have been guilty of infiltrating the home areas of other clubs once or twice. I didn't act like a Leeds supporter though, I was extremely chameleonic in outer appearance and made just the mildest of 'yesssssss'es when we scored.

I had to put up with being in the away section at Burnden once...Set-off late and ticketless near the end of a promotion season. I think against QPR, so donned my best cockney wide boy accent and got into the QPR bit....If memory serves they scored first and I was the only person in the away section who didn't move...fortunately they smuggled me through the gates into the Paddock for the rest of the match, which we won 2-1.

I don't do away these days, although I have done my share in the past. Other than W*mbley and the Minellium my last away game was at Goodison the day that big Greek centre half played for us. We were sat about ten seats from Betty Turpins son, just outside the directors box and when they scored everyone but me and my mate leapt up. Shortly after that I received a right bang on the back of my head. Accident he said it was but was not sure I believed him.

I've been in the Derby end at Pride Park once and with the Sheffield lads at Bramall Lane once, and it was completely ok. No hassle at all. But way back 1974, shortly before I went to Uni, I'd been living in Edinburgh for a few months, and had gone with some Scottish friends in their car to the match. It was England versus Scotland at Hampden Park, and I don't think I've ever been so shit scared in my life. It was pandemonium. The worst bit was when we went for a drink afterwards and me trying not to open my gob and sound English, but I still got inevitably 'found out' and my Scottish mates were calming the bampots down by saying it's alright he's English but he supports Leeds, which I didn't, but, as it worked, I went along with the charade.

Indeed. I remember the Boro fans a few seats away in the Millennium Stadium when they scored. Particularly galling when you consider the ticketing fiasco from that day.

Yes, I've snuck into the home section of away games quite a few times. Bloomin Bolton fans dobbed me in once when they spotted me in the Clock End. Luckily it was our ill fated first season in the Premier League when everyone condescendingly quite liked us, so I got away with it. I've also had the misfortune of being in the away bit at Burnden during one of our battles with the bucket shakers. Thankfully we won 1-0 with (I think) a Philliskirk goal
