Slash the cost of following Bolton!
Hi Bolton fans,
I am posting to announce the launch of GetToTheMatch.com, our completely FREE to use website service to help supporters save money on following your team. It is a site built by real fans, for real fans, so I hope you like it and find it useful. Please feel free to spread the word as the more people who use it, the more options supporter will have. Here is our press release..
SLASH THE COST OF FOLLOWING YOUR TEAM!
GetToTheMatch.com is a completely FREE new service for Football, Rugby Union & Rugby League supporters to arrange matchday travel share with fellow fans to all of their favourite teams’ home and away matches.
Whether it’s spare seats on a coach, a couple of empty spaces in a car, or you want to split the cost of a taxi to the match with someone from your area, you just select your team, choose which fixture you would like to attend and place a listing for other members to respond to.
There are no sign-up fees, no introduction costs and no commission payments – you simply offer or request seats that are empty, make your arrangements, get to the match and save money, reduce traffic congestion and help the environment. Local business sponsorship enables this service to be completely free for all supporters.
Member profiles tell you what other supporters prefer on their match day and feedback tells you about past travel share experiences with each user. There are ground guides providing information for visiting supporters, where members can leave feedback on places to eat, drink, park, visit and stay near each stadium.
Sign up for FREE now at GetToTheMatch.com.

Only 3 mate and it would be a bit daft to tell you all about a new service and then not tell you what it's called!throwawayboltonian wrote:If I had a quid for each time you wrote "gettothematch.com" I'd be so loaded I wouldn't be concerned about cutting costs.

Ha!, No mate, not a robot!throwawayboltonian wrote:Good God, you're not actually a bot! Regardless it's a bit of a general rule around these forums that other sites can't freely advertise so, with respect, an admin will probably remove the thread. Good luck with the site elsewhere though.away day travel wrote:Only 3 mate and it would be a bit daft to tell you all about a new service and then not tell you what it's called!throwawayboltonian wrote:If I had a quid for each time you wrote "gettothematch.com" I'd be so loaded I wouldn't be concerned about cutting costs.
Just a fellow football fan trying to launch a free service to help make following your team a bit more affordable, so if Admin don't mind leaving this here for Bolton fans to benefit, then it would be much appreciated - i promise you that we will never ask for a penny off of any supporter who uses this service.

I think it's a great idea, bravo

Re: Slash the cost of following Bolton!
running such a site would make me a tiny bit nervous about arranging car-share... I am sure there are good ways to protect yourselves - but I'd want to be sure i was legally watertight should I accidentally have a right pervy monster agree to take a poor innocent footy-fan on a car-trip to Bradford and back - arranged through my site...throwawayboltonian wrote:No problems with that at all, I used to work in business development so can appreciate someone trying something new. It's a decent idea, just not sure if it'll be allowed here. Just out of interest, if it is free, where's the revenue coming from? Standard advertising, like Google's Adsense? Something like this must surely require more work than just being a free or part-time passion piece.away day travel wrote: Ha!, No mate, not a robot!

We sell low cost advertising to local businesses around each club to generate revenue. It is completely free for supporters to use.throwawayboltonian wrote:No problems with that at all, I used to work in business development so can appreciate someone trying something new. You've certainly chosen the right time to advertise such a service on here

You haven't posted a listing requesting such seats though, so there could be someone making that journey.thebish wrote:boooooooo

You might want to go from Torquay to Bolton though, seeing as it's a home game..!
