For us, but not for their fans! They also got Gomis on a free transfer, the thrifty bastards.Lost Leopard Spot wrote:But, but... that was a good thing, no?Jugs wrote:Oh, and Swansea also took Ngog off our hands the thrifty, shit bastards!

Has anyone gone yet?
I know the belated Christmas present of an arrival will have to wait but all this uncertainty about departures is torture.
The bloody taxi meter for sick note keeps ticking!

Bit of both. You get the feeling our wage bill still smells Premier, theirs has the tang of League One. And yes, I've seen the league table.throwawayboltonian wrote:Interesting to read, BEN/Iles had him down as one of our lower earners. Does that mean Preston are doing well on even tighter finances than we have, or that even our lower paid players are on over the odds wages?thebish wrote:according to "reports"!!![]()
Preston are in need of a winger and have been linked with a move for feeney along with Charlton but it appears that wages will be a big stumbling block for Preston.
As Marc Iles put it in a reply to someone who asked the same question: "not being one of Bolton's biggest earners does not necessarily mean he fits well into another, more organised, wage structure..."

In other news (BN), Swansea offered £2m for Clough AND Vela, were rebuffed and "stepped back from the deal" - but may be back as deadline looms.
Neither Preston nor Charlton can afford Feeney's wage. Ipswich can't afford Pratley's.
Oh and I heard the other night that SWFC offered Davies £21kpw over 3.5yrs... then halved it.

Why the fookity fook are we thinking of offloading Alex Samizadeh to Derby County??? He can't possibly be on a huuuuuge wage, and as he's come through the Academy and is supposedly promising, then why not keep him so that once the smoke has cleared we can tamp him into the burning hole that will appear after the fire sale has disposed of the cinders?

I know, it's a bit of a weird one that. I've heard through the twitter-vine that he's been promoting these Derby stories on his FB page.Lost Leopard Spot wrote:Why the fookity fook are we thinking of offloading Alex Samizadeh to Derby County??? Re: Spotty's Seriously Sub-standard Second Rate Transfer Thr
Well, it doesn't follow that he'd go to Preston to earn the same that he does playing for us. His agent will be fully aware that not only that if Preston want him then they'll have to pay him more than he's currently on, but also that they'll be getting him on the cheap and he'd like to see as much of that saving as is possible passed on to his client by way of wages.throwawayboltonian wrote:Interesting to read, BEN/Iles had him down as one of our lower earners. £2m for Clough AND Vela is absolutely taking the pish. I've read on the Beeb today that Wolves are after Mason. Nice lad, half decent and at the time I'd have been happy to see him stay with us. The report said Cardiff were 'holding out for £6 million '

Re: Spotty's Seriously Sub-standard Second Rate Transfer Thr
I'd guess Feeney's wage is fairly middling for the division, but big for Preston. He is 29 and this might be his last big contract, so he won't be keen on signing a shit deal. If I were him I'd wait until summer.
Swansea can f*ck off, but I bet they don't. Notable that they were told to f*ck off - we may seek to raise money but we aren't removing our own trousers.

Sounds like he wants the move more than BWFC do.

But you don't just rock up at another club's training ground, do you. BWFC must have a hand in it somewhere.jmjhb wrote:Sounds like he wants the move more than BWFC do.

I see from comments that Iles said that, the Derby forum didn't seem o.t.t. about the situation, so if I can ask, in what way is he being immature?Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:He's not being very mature about it, that 16-year-old
