He's not signed a pro-contract with us, He's one of them scholars, so he's free to talk with whomever he wants (although it's pretty bloody annoying)
Pfffft.
Re: Spotty's Seriously Sub-standard Second Rate Transfer Thr
I remember Dougie nicking a couple of 'highly-rated' (by him) scholars to they apparent chagrin of their clubs. They were called Connor Wilkinson and Hayden White. Needless to say those clubs had the last laugh.

Oh dear, I'm well behind on how this shit works. Which is one reason this'll never be as spectacular as your transfer threads were.TKIZ! wrote:He's not signed a pro-contract with us, He's one of them scholars, so he's free to talk with whomever he wants (although it's pretty bloody annoying)

And my campaigning for the purchase of Leroy Lita!Lost Leopard Spot wrote:Oh dear, I'm well behind on how this shit works. The scholar offer is basically we pay him nothing and he learns to play the 'Bolton' way. He is free then to sign a pro contract with us if we offer one (which we can't as we're under embargo) or sign for someone else

JC so we can't sign a player who's willing to play for free and we can't sign a youngster who's already on our books. I can't wait for what happens next.

Actual breaking news: we've cancelled Casado's contract by mutual consent.

Rob Holding? Here's the gaffer in the BN the other day:jmjhb wrote:Who's cover for Moxey now?
It's not quite as mad as it sounds as Casado, unlike the unwanted right-backs, was only on a one-year contract. I'm trying to update the contract expiry post as we go along...Rob’s a good player. He can play anywhere across the back line, including left-back and I think he’s got the potential to have a real future in the game.

TBF, whether we like them or not, if they're not playing and we have cover then they need to be shunted fairly sharpish I woulda thought.
