They were clear front runners by a country mile having allegedly jumped all the fcking fences on Monday...
They thought they were, but as usual at BWFC its shambolic - no one has a fecking clue who's running the club & making the decisions and apparently its proving quite difficult trying to get Eddie Davies's attention on this matter, someone needs to wake Eddie Davies up to tell him that we have a few very interested parties who want to actually buy the club.

And after a promising 1st few weeks under Birch, he's quickly reverted to the usual BWFC type and stopped updating the supporters on WTF is actually going on.....and as this debacle carries on day in day out we slide even further towards League 1 with no one with any authority seemingly interested in doing something off the pitch to try and give us half a chance of staying up.
Well in fairness to Birch, he might only just now be finding what a mess it actually is. I don't buy the ED wake up bit, really. Last year I was on a deal that the other party wanted to do in a month. I told 'em it would take 6, they looked at Solicitors "lock-ins" etc. so we all gathered attentively, 6 months later, it signed.

We have no notion whether any of the parties were/are promising investment in January, although they might have stemmed some of the speculation around players leaving (although no one of note has left yet).

Hyperbole aside, I suspect Davies knows who's interested in buying the Club. That doesn't mean that he should necessarily flog it if all they were going to do was asset strip it of whatever's left.

No shocks by this tweet from Iles

Game of chicken still being played at #bwfc - unbelievable. Filed my story for tomorrow's paper but can see it being changed in wee hours.

Some staff at the club have been warned today that they are at risk of being made redundant.

Potentially they could have been given statutory consultation notices as part of a potential takeover...Or someone on a beach or not paying attention might have determined that they have to cut the cost base anyhow. Either way sorry for any folks laid off - hardly the most surprising news to come out of BWFC - only real surprise is why it hasn't occurred earlier..

Carrying a high number of staff. Probably mainly down to the hotel. But still awful for those people. Most of us have been through it I guess.

I am not so sure he is. He is suggesting something may happen soon. To me it sounds as likely sports shield are pulling out.

If there was a hint that a takeover positive announcement was close I can't imagine Iles would be being so cagey about it. But then I thought it was happening Monday.

Had a look around the Sports Shield website today.

god they look dodgy as f*ck.

How long have they been around? Noticed they only started tweeting practically days/weeks before their link to us was announced.

Wowzers. This thread is up there with the transfers one in having sweet feck all news on it.
Unless you count the revelation that ED is on his jollies and, frankly, I'm not believing that until I see the PSG. :D

Hang on there Mr!

The club's only a couple of mil short each month, why would they be looking at cutting their cloth?
