Rather than it was "Taylor's fault".

Which I think is what many people were saying in the first place.

Yes, along with plenty of others in the team, including but not limited to, Robinson, Cahill, Knight, Jussi, Steinnson, our central midfielders were where? So lets add Muamba and Holden into the mix too.
The main culprit was Taylor, for me. It's his man who he has tracked but not hard enough. The argument Lee Wouldn't have got there doesn't wash for me as part of the reason Taylor was brought on seemed to be for more defensive strength, and fresh legs, neither of which happened. Others were at fault as well, and it doesn't make him sh*t, or mean we should sell him, in fact going froward I thought he looked very sharp, but from what I have seen of the goal he takes a large part of the blame. Cahill wasn't marking anyone, but again he would be thinking he can't go leaving a big hole at the front post. If he'd checked though he would have seen there was no other danger. Steinsson cannot be completely excused either, yes he had a man, but once it became obvious Taylor wasn't staying with Morrison, you accept the stood up chipped cross to a static man at the back post over the whipped in at pace ball to a man with momentum right in front of goal.

Only real point I'm making is strictly speaking Odemwingie was Knights man, although Knight was struggling to get near him most of the game.
So... When Odemwingie peels of to the flank (which he did. Often.) you think a central defender should be dragged out of position to go and fetch him?
Knight was "out there" whether he should or shouldn't isn't the point. When the ball was knocked long Knight was marking Odemwingie and Robbo was marking Barnes.

Lets face it Knight was neither blocking the cross nor in the box ready to deal with it.

I would've never have thought that the goal we conceded against WBA would've caused this much debate.

True, every goal is the result of a series of errors.

Having just watched it again, from when Steinsson could've possibly judged that Taylor wasn't getting there, he'd have had to break land-speed records to get over and infront of Morrison.

Of all the players that we're dishing out blame too, Steinsson is one of the only ones I wouldn't point the finger at. He was in the box and he was marking Brunt.

I could have told you Taylor wasn't getting there from about the halfway line. I like Taylor, but conviction filled defending isn't his forte.

Running isn't his forte.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.
