Do they have anyone worth loaning, though?
I think at last count they had over 7000 players on their books. So shirley one or two of them are worth a look at.
Mind, on the other hand Benitez signed most of them so maybe not.
What's the young 16 year old called who is ripping up trees in their reserves?
Raheem Sterling!! Now I know we hate YouTube, but this lad is awesome. He was taken with the squad in one of the european games this season but didn't make the bench. They signed him from QPR;

Mate who's a QPR fan says they got well and truly ripped off for Sterling and that he's a very interesting prospect for the future
Pfffft.

I'd be devastated with David NGog

I wouldn't. I don't think he's acquitted himself any worse than Sturridge did in his Chelsea appearances.

I'd be happy enough to see him here. He'd actually be one of the better young strikers we can bring in on loan IMO.

Forget about getting a striker in. A new badge and anthem are the more pressing issues. Get those sorted, and then think about little things like signing strikers and winning games of football.

Forgot the fans have any power in signing strikers :wink: And hey what else are we gonna do in the long, football-less summer?? Start a few rumours about signing the next championship/spl/ligue 1 wonder kid?

He is an handful but I don't think he is a great player. Certainly not good enough for The Filth or us.

Diouf is 23 years old now so should be showing more than just potential.

I'll guarantee that our next top striker won't be someone who scored 12 in the prem this year and comes on a free transfer.

It would appear no-one else in the Premier League will be making a deal of that nature either.

You have to at least ask why? Don't you?

Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Point well made LK.

Though in our case I would have thought "better the devil you know" - obviously Coyle doesn't agree and wants to move on. (or he couldn't meet Elmander's demands).
