Great questions. And you aren't asking me for a tenner to ask them on my behalf without actually asking me.

So you are single handedly beating out the trust in my book!

But post administration, you can bet they'd be chomping at the bit again.
I find it a wee bit strange that the st are being promoted on the official BWFC website! :conf:

I find it odd they've been allowed to partner with the BWDA and are now dictating terms on the Lifeline money/ membership. I didn't vote for that.
Cancelled mine when all this "democratic" supporters crap started.

You'll be getting your own transfer thread next!

As for Plymouth's "we'll get promoted this season" transfer thread, we currently couldn't finish higher than 5th so I'm starting to doubt a little whether our late run will be good enough to go up.

I'm not sure the ST really launched a bid for the Club either, in fairness. On the plus side, at least you've found something to make you laugh.
I read that as an invitation rather than an admission.

Way Nixon and Iles are talking I'm beginning to wonder if this thing will get past the football league. Nixon thinks the amount needed for next season went up after the court appearance and the final deal with ED and that is where the issue lies.

Iles reckons administrators have already been identified.

We've got 22 playing staff out of contract in the summer and Nixon thinks that the amount needed for next season is going to go up. He's a know nowt bullshitting cockend of the highest order.

Income goes down by 5M. And end of the day it is the Football League that want this evidence.

Didn't E.D promise only a couple of weeks ago that he would make sure the club survived to honour Phil Gartside's memory (or something of that ilk) ?

Devil's advocate: Without crunching any numbers, could that because of our expected loss of £5m(?) in sponsorship and TV revenue?
This season was the last of parachute payments. So yeah, that's what it'll be.

The world of high finance is a mystery to me and I'm particularly stumped as to what the attraction is to SS to complete now.

We're going down so loss of TV revenue is a given. SS were paying £15m for us? I don't get why they don't just walk away until the summer. Leave all the wages for ED to worry about and pick us up for a song in administration

It maybe the fact all that would be left would be the name with everything else sold off to pay creditors.
Must admit admin crossed my mind if the potential purchasers were up to speed on how to rescue most of the package, if possible.

Widely reported that it takes 15-20M just to keep us going from now till the end of next season. Why would investors want to pay that for a league one side who would require further money to progress further?

That is the question I keep asking but can't come up with an answer for. I can see why a rich Bolton fan might want to take it on. Anyone else, I don't think it makes much sense.

Coz there's no guarantee there'll be anything left to buy, and if so what. If we go into admin, it's not inconceivable that someone could buy the stadium for a song, ready to rent it back to the club forever. Or the other training ground could go and we'd be training in Queen's Park. There's no consideration of whether they're taking the piss, just sell what we can to pay off what we can asap. See you Clough. And Vela. And Holding. Any any other asset that moves, or indeed doesn't.

Is admin still an option? I thought HMRC wanted to liquidate us rather than just recoup what's owed to the creditors. I'd assumed that if everything wasn't sorted by Monday morning, then that would be the end (barring another adjournment).

If you're an investor though you can just buy something else that offers better value.

Which might be why there's persistent rumours of a few parties who are still interested, but only if we go into administration. Wasn't the phrase something like they refuse to deal with ED's current terms?
Think it is clear that ED's demands didn't help. I suspect though the killer is having had the assets sold off, new owners will still have to pick up old debt, including the rather pressing tax bill.

In theory after administration there shouldn't be debt in the business and the initial costs should be reduced. The problem of course as Nixon points out, is that the biggest ongoing cost is the wage bill and administration at this stage won't alter that.
