Re: The Politics Thread
All the Brexit negotiators were Brexiteers. They delivered a 'harder Brexit' than the promises that turned out to be suggestions on the day after the vote. Dunno what you're moaning about, you got a more Brexity Brexit than you voted for. You should be dancing with joy Hobes.

Ok, so Maybot simply went along with negation and didn't stick her nose in along with her remaniac advisors whilst creeping to European leaders?Worthy4England wrote: ↑Wed Jun 18, 2025 12:42 pmJust let us know exactly where his hands were tied, instead of vague notional speculation. Churchill wannabe Johnson, aided by his little green , EU loving Carrie whispering in his ear went along unfazed and didn't poke his nose in?
The Irish squealing away about borders helped didn't it?
And, finally that wannabe influencer and her legal challenges had no bearing.
Yeah, only the dumb don't recognise these interference.

Re: The Politics Thread
^^What specifics were negotiable in a deal that we didn’t get? Frost described it as a great deal.
He and Johnson negotiated the deal as Brexiteers and indeed the Gibraltar border arrangements were a Frost and Johnson plan that couldn’t be implemented as they were too useless to get it over the line.
But you need to give specifics as to what could have been negotiated that wasn’t in the deal.

It's almost like the word negotiation implies there's more than one party and some things you agree on, others you don't...
Dunno, I'll have to ask the people with half a brain...

I see you remainers haven't changed your tune still, you know everything, everyone else is wrong and spout nonsense, and you soon forget your side spread the largest lies, what happend to the war and rationing?Worthy4England wrote: ↑Wed Jun 18, 2025 5:26 pmIt's almost like the word negotiation implies there's more than one party and some things you agree on, others you don't...

Ahh well, still didn't stop you intelectuals losing, did it?
Be nice if you realised the French and the Spanish were mainly responsible for us not getting a proper Brexit.

75 million Turks was a bit of a whopper
Straight bananas was another bare faced lie
No need to leave the Customs Union was another whopper
£350m and a bus was probably the greatest lie since Blair and Iraq.
I say all these things as someone that has never voted labour in my life.
We'll never know how much Remain exaggerated, but they lied demonstrably less than Leave.
We have control of our borders yet have had ridiculously high immigration under Brexit ministers and Prime Ministers. Yet Brexiters only seem interested in the tiniest proportion by far of the net immigration.
Lets face it, there was no plan. There is still no plan. There will never be a plan from the Brexiters as they are an incoherent bunch of incompetents that couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery.
I'm quite open to being outside the EU. I just want to know what the realistic plan is and for people to be properly accountable for delivering it, and those that lie about it also be held accountable.

Re: The Politics Thread
I just need advice from the folks who understand shit, Hobes.
The way we currently trade with Europe (rather than how we left it), was negotiated by David Frost. He wasn't appointed until 2020, if memory serves? So after May had put her feet up. That negotiation didn't start until May? 2020 with Boris' oven ready deal...how did May influence any of that in a way she could control in 2020?
I assume the wannabe influencer was Gina Miller? She had a couple of lawsuits around how Art 50 was triggered, none as far as I know in relation to the new trade agreement.
Could you point to one thing, anything, you believe Winston's missus had changed, and if she did and Frost wasn't happy, why didn't he resign?
As for the Irish border, it's there. In trade terms it exists. Should we pretend it doesn't? Just hope everyone forgets?
Maybe you could help me understand which bits I've got wrong?
Since the late 2010's, not once have I heard you describe what Brexit should look like in any sort of detail or even high level. I can't tell you you're wrong, because you rarely manage to tell us what shape the Brexit that's wrong for you should be, to make it right for you.

I'm trying to work out how all us "Remainers" have broke it, I only got the same one vote as the Brexiteers.
75 million was a bit closer than some guesses - I mean we found 17 million turkeys were already here!

Was just dealing with a delivery. More Brexit nonsense that has inflated grocery bills no matter the supermarket of your choice.
Royal Gala apples. Not for the EU that came from...Germany
This sort of nonsense is rife. Good to see the sterling work of Boris and the 2 Brexit Davids..

Yeah, still.waiting. About 15 years and counting. How all the folks who were right are going to improve it. 15 years and not a single workable suggestion. We went in from an over inflated 1946 position and all those countries we were going to get "payback" from pissed themsleves laughing. Oh how we wrecked car markets...
