Anyway, it seems that for whatever reason more than 50% of us want out, so I'm sure that's the way we'll vote.

You think so? I'm leaning a little towards the out camp but I can't see them winning. It'll be like the last election. The polls will be close right up to voting day but come the day, people will stick with what they know

TBH - I'm a little surprised how close the pollsters have it at the moment - I think there's a lot more for out than are maybe declaring their hand fully. As for the Beeb coverage, I had it down as fairly balanced so far - they've had Big Boris on plenty but also covered the "business leaders" and "generals" etc. talking about remaining etc,

If we do leave, we'll be able to have some great fun with Governments' not being able to blame "Europe" for their own incompetence (any colour of Government)

I disagree about the beeb but the thing that shocked me today was a poll on a financial website... (financial!!) that was 65% in favour of leaving.

Get in that armchair, pull up the buffy (I refuse to call it a pouffe) and avoid news channels for a bit. Might be cynical, but probably ain't far off the mark. I suspect the turmoil were we to leave would be far greater - even if it was fairly short term - certainly long enough for some bright fund managers to earn a bob or two.

Just wondering whether Frankie Holland telling Britain that should the UK chose to exit "there would be consequences" is helpful. Maybe it's a double bluff as deep down he wants us out, but in my experience anyone telling the Brits what to do, or not to do has the inverse effect.

What is he going to do exactly?
Any airlines or ferry companies can face massive fines for bringing in illegal migrants, so people ain't just going to hop on planes or ships to the UK, they would be checked at the port (Calais) of departure.
So is Mr Frog going to put them on ships and send them over and have a stand off mid channel with the Royal Navy?
Is he prepared to possibly start a war over migrants?

The education minister, Sam Gyimah, told the Times: “The way for this campaign to really come alive is to have grandparents talking to their children and grandchildren about the future of this country.”

Polls used by the Times suggested almost seven in 10 pensioners wanted to leave the EU, while young people were more likely to be pro-European, but less likely to cast a vote.
