Here is the full list, all completely valid. Of course. LGBTTQQIAAP (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, transsexual, queer, questioning, intersex, asexual, ally, pansexual)

A: You may have also seen LGB, GLBT, GLT, BLGTA, LGBTT2QQIIAAP, etc. We are called the LGBTQA Resource Center, which stands for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer/Questioning, Asexual/Aromantic, Allies and Advocates (and the A can also stand for All).

Fundamentalist religions appear to think so. Oh, wait - you were talking about language redundancy.Harry Genshaw wrote:^ If the A stands for 'All' we can do away with all the LGBT bit can't we?

Re: General Chit Chat
As I understand it, "queer" basically means "all" so yeah, I think there is some repetition.
What I've never understood is why being gay and being trans are somehow the same "club". You sexuality is as different from your gender as it is from, say, your race, or whether you are disabled. So what started as a gay rights movement now includes trans and similar, but not race and similar. Why does it matter? Well it probably doesn't, but there is no reason you couldn't be gay and think the trans thing is a load of rubbish (or vice-versa).

I couldn't get less of a shite about the sodding airport. I just hope they get on with whatever they're getting on with as quickly and as quietly as possible so folk can stop going on about it.

I'm looking for Application Forms to be a bulldozer driver. Anyone have any?Last year Boris Johnson said he would lie down "in front of the bulldozers" if Heathrow built a new runway

The additional planes aren't temporary. I look forward to you moaning about the racket that they make. This is nothing other than a fecking outrage. Those of us that travel under a regular basis avoid Heathrow like the fecking plague. When I fly to our plant in Augusta I connect at either Schiphol or CDG (yes, east to go west) because at least I know that they'll process me in time to make my connection. Heathrow's problems are all down to their inability to process people and their belongings in a timely manner and until they address that then having an additional runway will simply exacerbate that problem. This idea that it needs a third runway, and the local devastation to the lives of people, wildlife and the local environment, to make it more of a global entity is complete and utter bollocks. Schiphol has six runways yet only processes 75% of the amount of passengers that Heathrow does. Look where other capital cities airports are in relation to the city - nowhere fecking near and as such having little if any impact on the lives of the city's inhabitants. I'll continue to avoid Heathrow regardless as to how many runways they have, perhaps even more so now.Prufrock wrote:I couldn't get less of a shite about the sodding airport. Re: General Chit Chat
Heathrow might not need extra capacity if the likes of BA actually flew to a few more places from regional airports rather than funnelling everyone through Heathrow. Emirates flights to 6 airports in England and Scotland. BA to Heathrow and possibly Gatwick. I understand the need for a hub, but if there is enough business for Emirates then I'm sure BA could fly from somewhere up north.
That said, BA is the worst airline I've ever flown business class on,so I wouldn't choose to fly them if it could be helped.

They do, yet they fail to recognize price led competition. £700 to Billund? That's a very expensive sandwich.Harry Genshaw wrote:Do BA not fly from Manchester any more?
