Speculation alert...bristol_Wanderer3 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 20, 2019 9:59 amFootball Ventures (Basran group) apparently found around £10m in hitherto undiscovered financial obligations in due diligence. It seems that likely included commitments we made on the Doidge transfer, so might include some loan payments we haven't made, but £10m sounds a huge amount to find in due diligence i.e. over and above stuff that can be confirmed in documents like the accounts, and what was discussed during initial negotiations. Informal loans made by ED in the past perhaps?
You could see that might be the case. Stuff that should (maybe) have been paid
HMRC - £1.2 - which you might have thought he'd have accrued the cash for.
Un-secured loans from Moonshift (allegedly totalling) - £3.0m
Trade Creditors - £5m (we were showing £3.8m in 2017 Accounts so not beyond the realms that this figure has risen)
Monies owed to GMP (for policing), Bolton Council (rates), FGR/Norwich (player/loan payments), Heathcotes?, Someone or other Media (projection equipment)...
Not inconceivable those have built up beyond their due date and they amount to nearly £10m. Question would then be - what exactly has Anderson been paying for? You can bet your ass he's paid "Anderson Consulting" and "Directors"

The amount is possible, but why would you not disclose it and let a party find it in due diligence? Hope they're stupid?Worthy4England wrote: ↑Wed Mar 20, 2019 10:09 amSpeculation alert...bristol_Wanderer3 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 20, 2019 9:59 amFootball Ventures (Basran group) apparently found around £10m in hitherto undiscovered financial obligations in due diligence. Conferences scheduled to take place at Whites hotel today being cancelled....
These are fairly worrying signs...hopefully due to contractors pulling out rather than the business not expecting to be trading within a week.....

Yup. Exactly that. There's an outside chance, I guess, that they fcuk up DD and don't find it, although you would think it would be fairly easy to see...and with it being fairly easy to see, Anderson could claim it was never hidden, but by that point he's actually in negotiation with them...As with any other sale, people look to present the thing their selling in the best light possible. Ever bought a toy for your kids only to have to go back out for the batteries?

Simon Jordan apparently saying on Talksport he thinks there will be a delay. "will be enough in KA's spin to get a delay and ultimately there will be a new buyer".
Everyone saying a delay will be granted.

Agreed. Feeling more hopeful now. Though Jordan also making clear that now the only way out is to find a takeover...so KA just has to drop his demands and probably walk away with nothing. That is the bit that keeps worrying me...jmjhb wrote: ↑Wed Mar 20, 2019 11:08 amSimon Jordan tends to talk a lot of sense.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Wed Mar 20, 2019 10:52 amSimon Jordan apparently saying on Talksport he thinks there will be a delay. See this is what worries me re delays, seems the only person this suits is Ken. If all we're doing is kicking the kan for another month/few weeks to be back in the same boat, then let's just bring it to a head now and have done (& get the fu*ker out)BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Wed Mar 20, 2019 11:10 amAgreed. A takeover doesn't have to leave him with nothing. The haggling over how much is what's taking the time. As ever.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Wed Mar 20, 2019 11:10 amThough Jordan also making clear that now the only way out is to find a takeover...so KA just has to drop his demands and probably walk away with nothing. The problem is that the alternative to a delay or finding an immediate deal is not existing anymore....Jim_McDonuts wrote: ↑Wed Mar 20, 2019 11:17 amSee this is what worries me re delays, seems the only person this suits is Ken. So I'm not sure we want the nuclear button pressing today unless we are absolutely sure SOMEONE out there is capable of doing the deal within 7 days. And I'm not confident enough on that. As good as it would be to bring this to a head surely Ken will have to accept that if he gets a delay he'll have to move quickly.

Sure, I do get your point. I'm just not sure anything will change in the interim and we're just gonna end up here anyhow.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Wed Mar 20, 2019 11:19 amThe problem is that the alternative to a delay or finding an immediate deal is not existing anymore....Jim_McDonuts wrote: ↑Wed Mar 20, 2019 11:17 amSee this is what worries me re delays, seems the only person this suits is Ken. Pretty sure with 5 days to save our club that that would provide sufficient focus to provide an outcome.
I just don't believe we'll go to the wall.

I also don't think Kenneth will accept anything that doesn't see him minted, or in grave danger of him going to the dogs...

I agree. But the danger is that extra time allows a prospective owner to secure backing required forcing the issue is fine if Ken is literally the only impediment. But we do not know that for sure.....Jim_McDonuts wrote: ↑Wed Mar 20, 2019 11:31 amSure, I do get your point.
