Santos booked for pushing. Quite rightly so, two hands into the player. What hasn't been seen is the two hands in his back just prior to that.

Some care needed. Our card is marked with a lot of refs (forgive the pun)

I do wonder whether this is actually case or just a feeling we get. Already this season it feels like we've had an unfair rub of the green with Thomason getting sent off, goals disallowed and in todays case missed.TANGODANCER wrote: ↑Sat Aug 13, 2022 3:21 pmSome care needed. We apparently got a bit lucky with Connor Ha'll's very near miss.. Need to get a grip.

Get Santos off, before the ref does. He seems intent on redding him.
Edit. There you go.Am I a sight seer or what.

Yeah, he’s managed it. Santos sent off.

I was just about to post that it has the feel of one of those days where it all goes wrong.

I was thinking something bad was going to happen, but maybe that was it.nicholaldo wrote: ↑Sat Aug 13, 2022 3:41 pmI was just about to post that it has the feel of one of those days where it all goes wrong.
Interesting to see how we cope.
I doubt that will get overturned. Rico had his arms round the guy.
Re: A Vale of tears in The Park? Port Vale away Sat 13th Aug.3-0 'clock.
Clear as day, Santos has hold of him, gave himself no chance after booking him early on. The Vale player hasn't helped, he got past Rico as Rico had let go but still went down.
I think we were all expecting this ref to have a shocker today and this has confirmed it. For it to be Santos again is extremely distasteful. Looks like he's targeted him now.
Get the sense of it bit of stupidity on Rico's part as well as harsh by the ref. Suspect Santos' game had been affected by having this ref. Two yellows and we can appeal it.

Can't overturn two bookings.
He'd been waiting to do it, but have him the opportunity. Naive at best

I'd have put M.J at centre half, not Jones, but hey...Quien sabe?

Where do they find these pricks?

Get to half time and get Aimson on, probably for Bradley and go 432

Yes, let's hope so.
Get in level at half-time and re-group for the second half.

10 men in this heat on a big pitch? I’ll be very surprised if we pick anything up pointswise from this. Should have subbed Santos for me…no matter how bad that first booking was.

Santos missing for Morecambe as well which is annoying…that will be another battle. Can’t appeal two yellows so I suppose the ref has his man this time. Prick!

Flanners has a theory that the only man who can beat Santos is himself – in his reaction if things don't go his way. The big man certainly seemed rattled. Sadly it coincided with the ref being a prick.
Really not sure what I'd do here. Bradley strikes me as a good lad to have on. I'd be tempted to leave as-is - 4-3-2 with MJ sitting; Dapo can track back and help the midfield. But with Jones and Johnston at centre-back, it might not take long for them to start going aerial. And it'd be some gut-punch if we lose to a goal involving Jamie Proctor.

There's plenty going for Big Ric, but for every yellow we grumble about, there's probably a few that on a different day he might have got, but didn't. Not able to watch the game, but feels like folks on here could see it coming...Should IE perhaps have subbed him as TD suggested?
