Hoping for a strong commanding home win today. Charlton are the sort of mid table teams we need both home and away wins from if we have any desire for playoffs or better.

Would like to see Sadlier continue at #10 for his goal threat. Too early for Beck I'd say so Iredale at LWB.

I'm not sure there's much of an etc.
That's fair enough, but I think every "striker" we have is better suited to a 2 than as a lone front man. Dad Bod is probably the most capable in that role, but even he is better with a partner in and around him.

I could talk about others too, but in the end it's all just opinion until we see it in action. I think our best formation is the current one. If we end up mainly playing a 4-3-3 I think we will need to make changes in January to facilitate that.

If and when we put of the 4-3-3 I may change my mind, who knows.
Fair though I think most strikers would prefer to play in a two, there's another f*cker distracting people.

But yeah it's all opinions, I think we'd be better off with either 343 or 433.

Where do you think the changes we'd need in Jan would be for 433? Like ever I'd like upgrades but I don't see any real gaps. Probably Kacha and Izzy are the back up wingers, whereas now they're probably third choice in their positions (or at least most of us would think Kach would be...)
In a world that has decided
That it's going to lose its mind
Be more kind, my friends, try to be more kind.

I do wonder, some, whether having 2 WBs from one club, might subconsciously (or otherwise) inhibit us from going 4 at the back....

Some Charlton fan in the gym just gave me some lip for wearing a Bolton top, so today has now become a must win.

Can’t say I’m feeling hugely positive on this one. That unsettled feeling of ‘something isn’t quite right’ back in force.

Hopefully we can shake off the shackles and put in a really positive display and finish things off. But I’m not betting on it.

Good amount of healthy skepticism creeping in.

We've generally got a good record against Charlton so hopefully that continues. Being at home is a plus as is Evatt's record of avoiding back to back home defeats. Lot of good signs, but its a family day and those don't usually give us the best results.

Thomason and Baka start. My confidence has dissipated all of a sudden.

I suspect no one got this team guessed either as "what I'd pick" or "what he'd pick"...

Sorting hat in full flow..

Thomason had a relatively good game in the cup so its only fair he gets given some game time. Didn't expect him to start though.

Yeah he did. Played well, so can see why he's given a go. Didn't expect it either though..

Fascinating midfield choice. No Dempsey or Morley. Is it a Ghost-style rewarding I of those who’ve sweated?

Aimson played well in two games against league one opposition and was critical in getting a clean sheet. But is dropped.

Evatt has never had a squad before and it shows. Can’t have it both ways. Either consistently pick those on form and keep those in who do well or you have a team and even it’s up to the rest to get in.

But this halfway house is too many changes without much real consistent logic to them.

He'll quite rightly be panned for this if it doesn't work. But then again it might I suppose. Not what I was hoping to see.
Anyway, up and at em! A sound spanking to punish the very rude fellow from The Gun's gym.

If we win comfortably then I guess the question will be why Thomason hasn’t had a look in until now?

I hope we do win but selection randomness always is a bit off putting especially until a manager proves they can do it and maintain results.
