Can't recall the lad, but would our lower league gurus be happy with that one?

I think he was good enough at this level to say it's not much of a risk, but positions will vary.
West Brom promised him games whilst Ajayi was away with Nigeria and then promptly opted for Bartley's experience during a promotion push.
He got a game in the 3rd round, but was dropped again for the league and 4th round.
Having had a solid season of football in 22/23 you'd imagine that hurts a bit. Plus this is his local area.
You can easily make a case for it being very shrewd, but ultimately that's all we're doing. Speculating.

If he played 45 games for Cheltenham he must be competent.GhostoftheBok wrote: ↑Thu Feb 01, 2024 2:34 pmI think he was good enough at this level to say it's not much of a risk, but positions will vary.

Only concern would be Cheltenham I can’t imagine we’re playing a high line…..

Not often, no; but he's no slouch. Also decent with his feet.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Thu Feb 01, 2024 2:40 pmIf he played 45 games for Cheltenham he must be competent.

Believe he and Dan got on very well, which may have played a part if Nicko is correct.

Blackpool have signed Owls midfielder George Byers on loan until the end of the season.

That’s encouraging. He sounds like the exact sort of player I had in mind.GhostoftheBok wrote: ↑Thu Feb 01, 2024 2:45 pmNot often, no; but he's no slouch. Also decent with his feet.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Thu Feb 01, 2024 2:40 pmIf he played 45 games for Cheltenham he must be competent.

Have to say that if we leave this window with Ogbeta, Ramsay, Collins and Taylor it's been some going from Markham et al.
You're not getting much better at this level.

Yeah read some stuff and he sounds ideal. As ideal as you can get on loan. West Brom fans believe he’s more than good enough to be playing for them!GhostoftheBok wrote: ↑Thu Feb 01, 2024 2:48 pmI think you'd be happy. One other other thing. Taylor is young enough that we can still register all the injured lads, in case we can give them some minutes late on in the season as part of their rehab. We might well choose not to, but it'll probably keep them motivated.

Looks like it'll be Taylor in on loan and Matheson out on loan.
Honestly, well done to all involved. Really don't want to find out who is hurt, but this is good work.

Interesting that Collins did a 2pm ish press conference/interview and Iles was advertising a 2Pm conference yesterday. This thing must have been done for a while in reality.

Cambridge have signed striker Macauley Bonne on loan from League Two side Gillingham until the end of the season.

Imminent press conference at which we will discover injury extent for Rico & Toal.
Small thought: if we’re short on CBs and long on forwards, might we switch to a back four? Last time we did that midseason we went up
