We will probably win it now. It’s not unheard of for these sorts of things to kickstart a team.officer_dibble wrote: ↑Sun Jun 30, 2024 9:09 pmUtter garbage with huge slice of luck! I’d make the Swiss favourites next weekend.

This could get abandoned for a waterlogged pitch if Ronaldo blubs any harder.
Re: Tonight's Football
Really enjoyed last night's game, it was a really good high tempo match.

Aye both were a good watch, thought the last on edged it for the neutral though.Worthy4England wrote: ↑Wed Jul 03, 2024 10:17 amI'm guessing the second of the two - they were both pretty decent, tbf, vs watching us fanny about with it.
Yeah, grass growing and paint drying springs to mind watching England.
Re: Tonight's Football
Today, in theory anyway, should be possibly the best two games of the tournament.

As entertainment, top class. It had everything, skill, critical goals and drama 17? yellow cards and a red? . Can't see Spain not winning it, but hope lives on...I'm pretty good at hope..

Re: Tonight's Football
Can’t make my mind up about Spain. Very organised but there’s not loads of goals in them and Morata managed to get himself suspended for the semi when he wasn’t even on the pitch. Mind, France and Portugal also underwhelming. Wide open tournament.
Re: Tonight's Football
There's not a lot of goals in anyone, tbf. They look the strongest but every game feels close.

Re: Tonight's Football
Had some painting and decorating done this week, so I had a bit of time to watch paint drying. The paint may have been mixed in France or Portugal? I can't play chess either. Wish I could.

No shots on target for England vs Swiss after 67 mins. Come on England.

Kane is one of the laziest players I’ve ever watched. Should be completely fresh because he’s spent 90 minutes trying his best not to move.

It's like he's spectating the match.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Sat Jul 06, 2024 6:51 pmKane is one of the laziest players I’ve ever watched. Should be completely fresh because he’s spent 90 minutes trying his best not to move.
Don't mind a striker that doesn't sprint everywhere but some effort is warranted when there's a chance on.
Re: Tonight's Football
Foden has been such a letdown for England.

Re: Tonight's Football
Was never going to be easy, Switzerland are no mugs. Could have gone either way, still can. We ain't the kings any more, but give credit for fighting. Harry Kane is a striker playing mid-field / defender. In truth, our system isn't geared for him any more. What service did he get tonight? Every team we play shuts shop on us, all except us who like open spaces at the back. Que Sera, as ever..
