Max stays with Crewe.

Feel like that will be beneficial for us next season.

I certainly hope so.
He's flying and we should all want academy lads making the breakthrough.
I rate Schon. I'm happy to have him as first choice as he adapts to the English game. Not having to sign a back-up player, and instead have Max come in and start to stake his claim, is the ideal.
Desirable financially and in terms of the romance of football.

I hope it will but I fear it won't. Max will be overage and whoever the manager is might want a more experienced pro.
Oh well, we'll see - don't borrow sorrows, and all that. Here's hoping he's the divisional player of the year.

Killie reject a bid for Danny Armstrong, to whom we were linked. Open to selling this month "for the right price", with other bids expected.
First bidder "a European club."
Hearts currently favourites to get him in the end. Player said to favour move to England (and presumably English wages).

20 games, 0 goals, 3 assists so far this season. That will go down well with the BN comments section.GhostoftheBok wrote: ↑Thu Jan 16, 2025 3:32 pmKillie reject a bid for Danny Armstrong, to whom we were linked. Open to selling this month "for the right price", with other bids expected.

Looking forward to the 5pm announcement given Evatt said we’d have a recruit in for the weekend.

Nah. It's all part of the master plan. Shipping out the mentally fragile players.

After Rotherham you could view it as a concrete shoe slipping off a drowning man.
Regardless, Iles says it took Ian by surprise.
I like Randell, but he's had too many shockers this season. Villa U21s stands out vividly as one of the worst displays I've ever seen from a Wanderer.

Quite a strange decision to let him leave given we’re not recalling Conway.boltonboris wrote: ↑Thu Jan 16, 2025 4:44 pmLooks like Randell Williams is on the way out - Instagram story with "-> Soon"

He’ll be out of contract won’t he? And yeah that villa game was abysmal given we were up against kids as well. Won’t be missed much

Contract renewal? Or more likely some social media bullshit like he’s teaming with a crypto firm or launching a clothing range.GhostoftheBok wrote: ↑Thu Jan 16, 2025 5:56 pmIan has apparently told Iles that there's no deal being worked on, so nobody seems to know what Randell was on about.
Interesting one.

I genuinely have no idea.
If it was a contract renewal you'd think the manager would have a clue.
You'd think he'd then say to Marc "Randell is going nowhere", rather than just saying there's no deal currently being worked on.
Like I say, it's odd. I'd be surprised if we renewed Randell's deal. He misses a lot of football, he's reasonably well paid and we have Conway coming through on the left to push Schon.
I'm not sure you want Randell and Tutu as options on the right. There's a good chance they'd both miss half a season.

Long as they worked it between 'em that would be like one full player! Bingo!GhostoftheBok wrote: ↑Thu Jan 16, 2025 6:24 pmI'm not sure you want Randell and Tutu as options on the right. There's a good chance they'd both miss half a season.

You can’t beat commentary such as after Swindon score ten minutes into the second half to lead 3-1 on aggregate….GhostoftheBok wrote: ↑Thu Jan 16, 2025 1:17 pmWell, it's not as much of a ding dong do as Higson's legendary work - I'd agree there.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Thu Jan 16, 2025 1:14 pmAye they are fine. Though a long long long way behind the great Dave Hinson and Stuart Butt in terms of ‘club commentary team’.
DH: Its gotta be all action stuff now. What do we need to score now with a score line like that Stuart?
SB: Well, we need to score 2 at least don’t we?
DH: Yeah it’s gotta be.
