A "bit of a ruck" is still also pretty popular but maybe still behind burning a witch.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Fri Feb 07, 2025 12:37 pmFully agree - the fact he was odds-on at one point being yet another reminder that gambling's not a reliable revenue stream...boltonboris wrote: ↑Fri Feb 07, 2025 10:51 amI don't think Evatt would have been a serious candidate. He may have been sounded out, but not sure his ego could take him to the bottom of the football league when he thinks he's a Premier League manager
Yes, because there's f**k-all else to do except climb hills
They made their feelings about Evatt perfectly clear when we played them

Good we have Schuey in already. Although I’d have been in favour of warne I think Schuey is the better long term bet for us.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Fri Feb 07, 2025 2:30 pmand in other "Do one" news, Derby have shoed Paul Warne out of the door.

There is. But strangely enough, Barrows training ground is closer to Evatts house than Boltons is

Blackburn job likely to be free in the next couple of days. Given how well Coyle went there I imagine their fans are clamouring for Evatt to follow in his footsteps. The noise will be deafening. What a coup it would be.

Re: The ianevattable sacking
Aye didn't they move it to Manchester to attract more players than would commute up "Britain's longest cul-de-sac"? Sensible in a way, but hardly town pride...boltonboris wrote: ↑Mon Feb 10, 2025 10:25 amstrangely enough, Barrows training ground is closer to Evatts house than Boltons is

Wow I did not know that. So future model. Billionaire with more money than sense buys some mid size northern side on the cheap. Let’s say Bradford. Pumps a fortune in and as they go up the leagues relocates their training ground and daily football operations to somewhere in south London. Flys them up for home matches.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Mon Feb 10, 2025 11:19 amAye didn't they move it to Manchester to attract more players than would commute up "Britain's longest cul-de-sac"? That happened in Russia - the training ground for the now-defunct Anzhi Makhachkala (on the shores of the Caspian Sea) was in MoscowBWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Mon Feb 10, 2025 11:42 amWow I did not know that. Re: The ianevattable sacking
They've trained in Manchester for a few years. And Yes, as DSB pointed out, it's allowed them to recruit more players who would normally not be available to them. They've dotted about from Altrincham, De La Salle playing fields(!) and FC United's Broadhurst Park siteBWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Mon Feb 10, 2025 11:42 amWow I did not know that. So future model.
