Fozzy, I understand that West Ham will not receive a penny of any Tevez sale. Does that mean it would be a "third party" getting the money, and if so, what of the third party agreement that was supposedly torn up?

Well, yes, a party can commit a repudiatory breach and cancel the contract.InsaneApache wrote:Forgive me, I'm no legal expert but can one party to a contract just rip it up when it suits them? If it is possible, can I now rip up my mortgage agreement and just keep my house?
But then, of course, the other party to the contract can sue.

If this were a case involving possible punishment for Spain, Liverpool, Mexico, etc. this would dismay me as FIFA are laughably biased. However, unlike the FA I doubt they give a crap about the "Academy of Football" or them winning the World Cup so I doubt they'll show them the same preposterous favoritism.James B wrote:fifa involved now
what power could they have in these matter?
edit - just reading how they can pretty much do as they see fit, including points deductions and expulsions
do the honours fifa

Edouard Cisse's shot is charged down by Ivan Campo and the ball breaks to Jay-Jay Okocha...

Okocha shows superb balance to hold off the challenge of Joe Cole and bear down on the West Ham goal...

As West Ham back off, Okocha lets fly with a shot that screams past David James and into the top left-hand corner of the net.
