You mean we're allocating handicaps before we play? :(

I'll try and round up who is playing over the weekend.

Can all players email me with their handicaps if they have a proper one, please. I got my first official one today! Yay!

Ladies and Gents this is your last opportunity to register for the 2007 TW Open Golf Championship, to be played on 8th July at Bolton Municipal Golf Course, Lostock, Bolton.

This will be a Stableford Points Tournament, points scored against NET scores as follows...

Bogey - 1pt
Par - 2 pts
Birdie - 3pts
Eagle - 4pts
Albatross - 5 pts.

Entrants so far are...
Commie
Bruce
Crayons
TD
Hotdog
Ratbert
Blurred

Bolton Boris are you still on for this?

Lots of handicaps are going down this year as I'm working on roughly 3/4s based on my new 24 handicap .....

Provisional h'caps......

Commie - 18
Bruce - 22
Blurred - 15 (serves you right for last year!! )
TD - 28 (more generous than last year
Ratbert - 20
Crayons - 2
Hotdog - 18 (hmm that new job is going against you)

Thank you Mr Handicap Chairman. That's most kind. Depending on the day I might need every stroke of mine. :P

On golf but a side note:

Played a few holes with my son in law on Tuesday evening. He takes his golf seriously and is good value as 8 handicap. He found a new ball in the rough and threw it to me as he already has more than Titleist. "You might not like it" he said with a big grin. When I looked it had a Man United badge emblazoned on it.

Now why would he think I wouldn't like to smash the Man U badge full blast with a driver? I did, with great gusto thinking I may never see it again. Barsteward went straight as a die down the fairway. I enjoyed heartily whacking it for rthe rest of the round.

How much might it cost to manufacture TW polo-shirts do you think? Too late for this one but might be a nice idea for next time.

I haven't decided whether or not to sport the cherry cords for the TW Open yet...

And Commie, do me a favour - 3/4 of 5 = 3.75 (i.e. 4)!!!

"roughly" as you know full well 3/4's penalises higher handicappers more than you single figure boys.

Quite right too (indeed, isn't that the point of the 3/4 system anyway???)!
