Excellent, sounds like this could be fun - you can't beat a course where the ball can plug on the fairway :D
It doesn't usually plug when you scuff it - ankle height - to a position between the Tee and the Ladies Tee.....I know this for a fact

I played 9 holes yesterday and it was just about playable.

Ahh. Auntie says dry with sunny bits? Bring waterproofs.

According to the very same source there wasn't meant to be a cloud in the sky when we played Haigh Hall.
Now showing rain today and tomorrow, but should be dry for competition day.

And they've changed that since 8.30 this morning, too.

Sunshine and showers today? Balls. I can assure you that it hasn't stopped lagging it down all morning in BB4.

Or M1. Drizzling rain and a strong, nasty wind right through. From the looks of the sky it's in for the day.

Let's see. It is actually the 6th of July isn't it? Summer...and all that stuff. Right now in that big city of Manchester it could well be February or November. Sky's as black as shit and only the wind keeping the clouds moving is stopping a persistent downpour..

If I were leaving school today, I'd apply to train as a weather forecaster. The only job you can fukc up at every day and still get paid. :(

Isn't Runcorn the headquarters of the British fog manufacturing company?

UPDATE

Blue skies have burst out over M27, allowing me to cut the grass for the first time in four weeks. I might even push my luck and hang some shirts outside to dry. I must confess, this weather's all my fault. At the end of April I bought a table and chairs for the garden. Subsequently, theve been sat out in the rain, unused, ever since.

Oh, and I was down on the range at RP this morning, and the ball was stopping almost dead.

well some of you boys could have an advantage, I've just done my first 10k run as build up to the marathon. I'm a wee bit tired as a result and my planned trip to the range today could be canned.

after the Open, we shall retire to the bar if there's no comp on like last week (otherwise we'll go to the Beehive) for the prize giving...

We've got...
1st & 2nd prize
Nearest the Pin
Pairs champions

and side-bets are between yourselves!
