Read some reviews on that and they're not too favourable in genaral. Not sure why they made another version after Prince of Thieves. Okay, it was Costner, but it had the right mix of action and subtle comedy to make it watchable. Rickman alone was worth the entrance fee. I'll probably still watch the new one.
and there's the answer to your question - cos people will watch it.... 8)

Men In Tights is still my favourite Robin Hood film. Has the right mix of action and subtle comedy.

My favourite is the Disney version with Brian Bedford & Peter Ustinov voicing. seriously! but that might just be nostalgic.

But i also love multi oscar winning Errol Flynn version too from 1938, saw that recently actually, a proper belter.

Prince of Theives is gash, and I have no desire to see this new one either.

Not better than the Fox and the Hound though, is it? Nor 101 Dalmatians (the original)...
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Yesterday watched Easy Rider - loved that sound track.

And This is England 86 goi into its stride. Very funny. And a litle genuine emotion. Keep going, it may end up very good...

This afternoon watched The Orphanage which I recommend. it's a genre I don't really care for - but done well.

So difficult to fill the afternoons... :wink:

Anyway there is a link between MPFC and Robin Hood remember;

Robin Hood, Robin Hood with his band of men,
steals from the poor to give to the rich

Girlfriend wanted to take revenge on me for making her watch The Expendables the other week, and boy did she succeed, oh my.

Tonight, we went to watch Cyrus at the cinema. Now, I havent seen any reviews of it or anything but after seeing a couple of trailers I was expecting a kind of daft comedy about a couple who have to put up with the woman's son living at home and him being around all the time, leading to Will Ferrell-style funnies.

I was wrong. It turns out Cyrus is some sort of downbeat, weird drama that's very short on laughs and just has very little point in existing, barely anything of note happens in it! Many walked out of the cinema, a woman behind us started snoring at one point, others had phones out or were just chatting amongst themselves - looks like they were misled by the trailers too.

Avoid!
