Great game, sorry if I've been a bit gloomy, was trying to keep expectations submerged!
United aren't what they were, they look distinctly vulnerable in midfield and defence and with better finishing we could have really given them a 'mare. Everyone ran themselves into the ground today, a performance to be proud of - COYW!

I honestly believe he thought we were capable of holding them and put Davies on to try breaking through. Might be wrong, but that's how I saw it. We sure didn't play to lose.midnitefooty wrote:BTW anyone else do a HUH??? when Muamba was pulled with 30 odd minutes left in the game and the score 1-1? Either Coyle would rather lose trying or Muamba is very unfit lately.

Nah, thought that was a wise move as United were piling on subs and we needed fresh legs in midfield. Mavis also has a defter pass on him.

Coyle's positive mindset was behind the sub, it was the same against Villa. Mavies does give us more punch going forward, and looks wonderful running with the ball, of course that exposes our back 4 even more than they already are! Couldn't complain about down back much today, a couple of small mix ups but certainly didn't cost us.
Oh, and how about Elmander blazing over when he could have made it 3-1... what could have been. Ran himself into the ground, and looks very bullish running through defenders.
Happy, and in bed before 11pm!
