So why did you ask for education if all you want is ticked boxes? You got em, be happy with that.CAPSLOCK wrote:I didn't watch the film to learn about racism
I wanted to see some aliens get their brains scattered all over Joburg
It ticked my boxes
And the Safrican cops accent was top drawer when he swore

one bit that for some reason cracks me up every time, when knocks is learning magic tricks in his sick bed and he makes the ball disappear, he just says "fecking hell" comic quality!Bruce Rioja wrote:I did - Satdi morning - and you're absolutely spot-on, General.General Mannerheim wrote:Told ya. Makes me laugh too. However "Tuck in" is the finest line in the film for me.General Mannerheim wrote:one bit that for some reason cracks me up every time, when knocks is learning magic tricks in his sick bed and he makes the ball disappear, he just says "fecking hell" comic quality!Bruce Rioja wrote:I did - Satdi morning - and you're absolutely spot-on, General.General Mannerheim wrote:Told ya. What worked well for you in this aspect of the film and what, if anything, failed?
What did you make of the film's depiction of Nigerians?
Nigerian people were outraged by it. Were they over-reacting?
In the options available for humans and prawns which are explored satisfactorily other than instinctive extreme violence? (Several are touched upon).
How thorough is the film in exploring political themes that it raises (such as medical experiments)?
Can we have multiple choice?
CAPS did ask william to "educate him" - William's mistake for taking CAPS seriously...
Last week's episode of This Is England 86 tonight for me, missed it last week away on holiday - looking forward to it. I'm liking the piano music on the advert for it too and finally managed to track it down for a download!
Ill have a watch of Dispatches tonight as well: "What's The Point Of Unions" is the subject. Could be interesting seen as the Union I'm in is currently mobilizing for strikes and a "new winter of discontent". Just what I need...

A couple of Ludovico Einaudi tracks are used often in the film.. Is it one of these you downloaded? If so, I suggest you get your hands on some more of his stuff.. It's breathtaking.P.O.S. wrote:Last week's episode of This Is England 86 tonight for me, missed it last week away on holiday - looking forward to it.
