All Arsenal fans are know-nowt nobbers

Where fellow sufferers gather to share the pain, longing and unrequited transfer requests that make being a Wanderer what it is...

Well I've never met a non nobber Arsenal fan.

I do actually know a non-nobber arsenal fan - she has appeared here from time to time - but she is a very rare breed...

Part of the problem is that they are utterly and blissfully unaware of their affliction, though, I guess, to REALISE it would be too much for anyone to bear...

Uni 3s last year was made up one Bolton fan (me), one Charlton fan, one Watford fan, one Norwich fan, one Leicester fan, and the rest were all Arsenal fans. They were all all right as long as you never actually talked about Arsenal, that's where they all seem to become arses. I've heard Rags admit they've been outplayed, or fairly beaten, but never ever Arsenal fans.

Jack Wilshere's been sent off for what's been described by the BBC as a "dreadful tackle".

I'm REALLY looking forward to this one....

Well, to use their logic, that's impossible. Apparently we should take any problem we have with Gallas' stamp on Mavies with Spurs now, as he plays for them now.

I think we could see some of them combust over this. Good.

I bet Wenger warned him not to hang out with that horrible Dan Smith. But would he listen?

wenger says...
"I have no complaints. It looked a red card. He mis-timed the tackle - he didn't want to hurt the player - but he touched him, and it was a red card. Before that, I thought he was outstanding."

that's OK then - cos Jack didn't mean it... it's just players who play against arsenal that mean it...

I've just been texted an excerpt from Wenger's programme notes. Apparently....
Managers have an important part to play - we are all responsible for the behaviour of our teams. What has got lost is the technique of the tackle: a tackle with two legs should be an automatic red card, but a good tackle is beautiful to watch. That means that your feet are on the ground, you are getting the ball back and only playing the ball.
Eboue was only booked for a tackle, off the ground, two footed as well.

But it's only players wanting to hurt Arsenal players that are the bad ones, yeah?

Just seen the challenge. If Taylor or Shawcross, or anyone else accused of "assault" when tackling an Arsenal player "badly", and had - as claimed - intent to hurt a fellow professional, anyone claiming anything other than that to Jack Wilshere should be laughed out of the country. Wilshere's look worse than it actually is because, once again, Zigic gets there before and gets to change the direction of the ball, so the contact made is going to hurt a bit more. As in the case of Taylor and Shawcross.

Where's the link to that deluded idiot who was accusing everyone of assault? What's he got to say about it?

And Arses clapping him off

Not even worthy of comment but I'd love to know if Arsene saw it

He said it was "mis-timed". Which is a bit of a "no shit sherlock" type of comment you'd expect from him

As much as they are a bunch of know-nowt knobbers, it's a sad f*cking day when that's a red card. Bad first touch, had a lunge, missed it, but his foot is low, he caught him with his ankle and the useless lump, at literally a foot taller, has gone down like he has been shot. Foul, yellow card. Get on with it. That said, if it had been any other Arsenal player I'd have pissed myself laughing, and Chamakh's Ashley Young esque 'anticipation of a foul' was embarrassing.
