What a load of total bollocks.
How can you release a statement two days ago saying you want out and now sign a 5 year deal?
Had Rooney kept quiet this might have been swept under the carpet.
But now he, Fergie and Utd all look like absolute mugs.
No player is bigger than the club? Well thats not how it looks at Man Utd in my eyes.

Does he balls! He's come out of this smelling of roses.. Turned this right back onto Rooney and made him look like the idiot he is! He's done it all to send out a message of "nobody is bigger than this club" and it's feckin' true!
Fair play to Ferguson

The same as he'd have got without all this bollocks, I'd wager..CAPSLOCK wrote:And how big a rise has Rooney got?boltonboris wrote:He's come out of this smelling of roses.. Fergie looks like he's been backed into a corner by a player and given in.boltonboris wrote:Fergie looks like a mug?BWFC_Insane wrote:What a load of total bollocks.

Rooney wanted out and said so publically. Fergie and the board must have backed down on some of Rooneys demands whatever they may be.
Or grovelled. Or both.
Otherwise Rooney would still be on his bike.

I very much doubt it... Ferguson could run rings around wayne, and from where I sit, it is rooney who looks like he has his tail between his legs... (actually - scrub that image - eugh!)
Rooney likes fergie's cow best now - and that white stuff in the bottle obviously wasn't milk... now, where did those bloody seagulls go?

Hang on a sec. He was set on leaving. Said so in a statement.thebish wrote:BWFC_Insane wrote:

He's now staying. Surely folk aren't seriously thinking Fergie has "forced" him into staying.
Unless they gave him whatever he wanted Rooney would be offski. Since when had a player publically said they want to leave Man Utd and been persuaded (and for that you can read begged) by Fergie et al?
wayne wanted to go... fergie wanted him to stay... fergie got his way (and, I suspect, battered Rooney's standing a bit and got a better deal than they might originally have offered)BWFC_Insane wrote:

however - I doubt we will ever conclusively know one way or the other. If I was a betting man (which I'm not) - my money would be on fergie putting one over on wayne rather than the other way around.

The Glazers probably realised their position would be untenable if Rooney left, so caved in. I wouldn't worry, he'll be yerniteds Stevie Me soon.

You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.
