"Unable to work"...yeah, of course.
That said, how many of us would take a 12 month salary for doing nothing?

Whether getting relegated would destroy the club is something I highly doubt. Teams in far worse financial positions than us have been relegated and none have gone to the wall.bedwetter2 wrote:I know this is a forum where different opinions are aired. I gave my view, based upon him being the most divisive person to have ever managed BWFC. We now know that not only were the fans at each others throats, but a good section of the squad were demotivated/p*ssed-off to the degree that we could have been relegated had he stayed. That would have destroyed the club as a going concern.Tombwfc wrote:Living up to your name there with that. He didn't nearly destroy anything. He came in, did the job he was employed for before eventually being found incapable of taking us on further (though the club's history would suggest that 13th in the top division is a good effort).
I did not indulge in calling him names. Nor did I, in the words of our resident eclesiastical expert, go to the extremes suggested of wishing him to be lynched by the KKK for molesting our lovely tea ladies.
Saying he was going to destroy the club is completely melodramatic. Kind of stuff you'd hear from Liverpool or Newcastle fans.

True...Tombwfc wrote: Saying he was going to destroy the club is completely melodramatic.
It was dreadfully dull, though... I look on it as the toothache years...

No more Megson. New Year's resolution. Onwards and upwards.

Oh and he managed to sort Bolton out with a net spend of £9m...bettyrasta wrote:He (Megson) told Fanhouse UK: "The gardening leave is now finished and it's been a frustrating year. I've turned down three jobs in that time to come back into work.

Maybe would have been less frustrating if he'd had a bit of pride and taken one of the jobs.
That must've been written by his fooking Mum.

This is my point regarding him being an idle b'stard.
OK, his income from us was higher than the 3 jobs he "turned down" .... (so, did he apply for them .... or were they ever actually offered ? More likely he was approached, but said he was unavailable).
But he'd have been capable of coming to us & saying "hey, I have this option, can we negotiate somewhere on this". Clearly happy to sit taking the cash from us, wailing "woe is me" and not trying to find a positive solution.
A bit like his managerial life generally really.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

By all means take the salary and do nowt, but don't then come out and say "oh feel sorry for me because I could have worked but didn't"Choppers wrote:"Unable to work"...yeah, of course.

Love him to go to Burnley, apart from that couldn't care less. He wasn't the worst man ever or anything just a desperately boring and dull football manager who I'm glad we sacked when we did. If a year ago you'd have told me we'd be 7th and I'd be really upset we'd lost to Liverpool at Anfield I'd have bitten your hand off so alls well that ends well.

And once again, Pedo proves that that which he goes crying like a peeled baby to Site Admin about isn't abuse at all - merely statements of fact, but whatever!H. I'll pause before responding to this to ask - do you actually KNOW anything at all about the association of Spurs with Judaism?

Really though, who cares? It was just an off-hand remark thats been blown out of all proportion. All clubs have a religious back ground, its not that relevant anymore.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.

Should the Russians also feel insulted and the French?
Give over, its just a colloquialism for ill gotten gains, the kind in which allegedly Allardyce and Redknapp supposedly enjoy.
