Living up to your name there with that. He didn't nearly destroy anything. He came in, did the job he was employed for before eventually being found incapable of taking us on further (though the club's history would suggest that 13th in the top division is a good effort).

I know this is a forum where different opinions are aired. I gave my view, based upon him being the most divisive person to have ever managed BWFC. We now know that not only were the fans at each others throats, but a good section of the squad were demotivated/p*ssed-off to the degree that we could have been relegated had he stayed. That would have destroyed the club as a going concern.

I did not indulge in calling him names. Nor did I, in the words of our resident eclesiastical expert, go to the extremes suggested of wishing him to be lynched by the KKK for molesting our lovely tea ladies.

Whether getting relegated would destroy the club is something I highly doubt. Teams in far worse financial positions than us have been relegated and none have gone to the wall.

This is my point regarding him being an idle b'stard.

OK, his income from us was higher than the 3 jobs he "turned down" .... (so, did he apply for them .... or were they ever actually offered ? More likely he was approached, but said he was unavailable).

But he'd have been capable of coming to us & saying "hey, I have this option, can we negotiate somewhere on this". Clearly happy to sit taking the cash from us, wailing "woe is me" and not trying to find a positive solution.

A bit like his managerial life generally really.
