If we feel he is worth retaining we will offer him a contract that we feel is fair to both parties. We have no obligation to him. If we don't feel he is worth keeping we will not offer any contract and he is free to leave. Elmander on the other hand is free to accept or decline any offer we may offer him. There are no obligations on either side.

.... He just happens to come out with this a week after the transfer window closes when he knows we can't sell him etc..

He has been very sly before January not saying anything bad about the club etc.. Saying how he loves working under coyle etc..

I think he thinks he can get a big move if he is on a free rather than if we had sold him because he would of had to go to whoever made a bid.

He couldn't have just been sold to any old body without him agreeing.

All of which I'm well aware of, but until such time as what will happen, actually does, JE might have been better just saying " my future is undetermined right now" instead of " I have no obligations to Bolton" (if he indeed actually said that). Even on here that's promted a "well fxck-off then" response from some. Give The Sun an inch etc...

balls to him anyway the club has decided he's not worth the money were paying him and i agree. They have obviously written off his fee so to be honest i think we will be better of without him as we have been paying for nothing for the last 3 seasons.There is no loyalty in football anymore from players to the top so why should this be any different, sad but true.Just a shame how much we paid for him.

I think I'm at a point now where I'll be disappointed if he stays. He hasn't done even 50% of the work needed to have a new contract or even a renewal on equal terms.
