Terrace Songs

Where fellow sufferers gather to share the pain, longing and unrequited transfer requests that make being a Wanderer what it is...

Eyes right, foreskins tight, bollocks to the front

Or a little more family friendly

They all laugh at us
they all mock at us
They all say our days are numbered

Born to be a Wanderer
Victorious are we
and we're never giving up
Cos we're gonna win the cup
We're the pride of Divisions 3, 2, 1

Victorious and glorious
We took the Stretford End between the four of us

etc etc

And there's always

We don't carry hammers
We don't carry lead
We only carry hatchets to bury in your head
etc

And for Zulu, The Bolton Boot Walk
Sto ut Serviam

Same could be said for City and Blue Moon. I always think it would be nice if we had a song that would mean so much to the club and be so symbolic, create such an atmosphere on any occasion and always be sung through years and years to come. Something truly unique to our club and to our fans.

maybe... but those are the kind of things that simply emerge through history/tradition - they are hardly ever the result of a deliberate decision to have an "our song".
We 'had' Amarillo, even though Falkirk beat us to it

We could have The Wanderer

We're only after c*nt.
We're the heroes of the night
And we'd rather feck than fight
Coz, we are the Bolton fusiliers.

So, how come, as the crowd has grown, the traditional songs have become completely forgotten?

Is it because our generation, Caps, got older and never bothered teaching those that were coming through?

I never used to be able to remember much more than We've got Willie, Willie, Willie Morgan on the wing...

That was before I used to get senior moments...

those jealous of Liverpool's gloriously inventive and unique terrace singing...

apart from the opening "never wank alone..."

all I heard was "when the reds go marching in"

and "Liiiiiiiiiiiiiiverpool, Liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiverpool"

Well now then Robinson
Petrov's in trouble again, ain't he?
I thought as much.
Cos you stood over there
Pointing at people, screaming, before kicking at thin air.

And you don't
laugh or joke around
When Martin don't track back or merely lays down on the ground
You always
Have to have your say
Because you'd probably maim everyone just to get your own way

Your always
argumentative
when you've got Petrov on.
"Young people, nowadays, imagine money is everything."

"Yes, and when they grow older they know it."

Give over bish, just once say "You know what, on this one I was wrong".

Because, lets be honest, he used two examples. One of which was right. Therefore "hardly ever" translates to "50% of the time". If we're being pedantic. Which you're trying to be.

Did you hear her speak? I suspect it may have gone the way of ''Gottle o' Geer''

Fat lad, tall, short back and sides with round lens glasses. Had a phase of wearing a hat shaped like a turkey. Leads a lot of his mates in the singing. Joined Fat Frank and about half a dozen others with a shirts off display last year in the cup v. Arsenal. Lively chap. Meh.

We could easily do this for the Wanderers.

We could.

We won't.

But we could.

Try it.
