Very true, when Holden plays, his ability covers up all Muamba's shortcomings!
So Muamba returns the compliment? Or has Coyle made the greatest signing this club has ever known? Its a pretty remarkable thing if he has.

Sorry, Muamba is a good but limited player. We have one other high quality central midfielder at the club, who is out injured. Of course he's going to look out of sorts, playing with makeshifts and dross like Cohen.

Aye which explains why he was taken off at half time yesterday and we looked better without him!

Muamba has regressed over the last 2 years. He's stopped even being effective breaking up the play and winning the ball.

which maybe points to him carrying an injury, he certainly did not seem to cover the ground like he is able to

More likely that he's fcuked

:oyea: I like a bit of lucidity. Muamba is knackered. Poor lad has played every u21 match going for the last two years, as well as nearly every Bolton match. He neds a rest, but won't get one. He'll be fecked come the start of next season, hence the need for another good midfielder.

Carrying an injury....this. Think I agree.

Mark Davies is injury prone though, he's only started about 10 games for us. Either that or he does drink/eat too much.

Definitely looked like he was limping as he chased the first Sunderland goalscorer into the big hole Zat Knight had left

I still see potential in him and there's no doubting that he and Holden, when playing together, are a successful midfield duo. Holden helps Muamba and Muamba does the basics when with Holden.

Muamba is good when used as he should be, breaking down play in front of our back 4, he's neither creative or a forward thinking mid fielder, thats why he plays better when Holden is in the team. Let him win the ball and give a simple pass, thats what hes good at. I Think the goal he scored against Wigan last season went to his head and gave him illusions about his own ability.

100% agree.

(Apart from last line - no sign of arrogance from the player, imo)

Not sure he'd be quite that good, complete and utter lack of technical ability would be a minor hindrance, but arrogance is absolutely the least of his problems. He doesn't realise how good he is at what he does.

He was excellent when paired with Holden... doing the job he was made for - breaking up the opposition, protecting the back four and making a five yard pass to the energetic player making himself available...

We are agreeing with each other a lot tonight... So, let us bask in each other's approval and the knowledge that we are right... *halo*
